Right now I really don't think they will but if this war continues for more that 2 more years it is possible. The military has less and less people joining since the war because there are many that are against it. Also, even if we end the war in Iraq, we will declare war on another country. That is how the US does things. We stick our noses where they don't belong with our "do as we say, not as we do" attitude. And all that gets us is our mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, and friends killed.

Well, the fact that all men 18-25 are required to be registered for Selective Service always leaves it as a probability, but it will more than likely not happen.
Look at the last time they used the draft (Vietnam), and we saw how well that went, and how good we still feel about it

They say there is no draft, but everyone registers for the "selective service" when they turn 18. That is a list in case there is a draft, so they can find you. So, basically, there is a draft. It's just talked about differently for political reasons.

i think so.sounds selfish and stupid of me...but i believe in everything israel is doing right now and i am absolutely willing to be drafted and deployed to help protect the holy land. i would be honored to fight and die in the same region where jesus was born, killed, and then resurected. didnt mean to get all spiritual on ya or scare ya but i think so. it will probably also happen soon because things are happening very quickly over there. i think within the next year or within the next year and 1/2

No, I would not think so for two reasons. We have over 1.5 million in the militray now and more that can be called up from reserver and those just released from the miltary would be calle dup first b/c they are allready trained. Second a larger force then that is just not needed in todays miltary this isn't 1960's vietnam.
