One of my bf's friends slipped up and I found out he's joining the army. He hasn't told me yet and he's leaving in september. This is what he's always wanted to do, he knows I support him. Why hasn't he told me that he's made the decision?

Since 99.9% of the POLITICIANS in Washington are either heads of large businesses or lawyers,
Why would anyone believe the 'we are the common man' crap that they sell in elections?

Lawyers, by and large, are trained how to twist the truth to suit their purposes and owners of big businesses are just out for the money they, themselves, can get (again, by and large).
America is NOT a business and there is no "product" to market and sell,
and twisting of the truth is not something we, as a people, need!
politics has grown into the clubhouse of screwing the american people. If we voted out every single lawyer and businessperson from washington, our country would run so mush better, hire real accountants to get the numbers in line. and make it illegal for any company to sell to the government ANYTHING at a higher price that it sells for retail!
VOTE FOR INDEPENDANTS ( and independence) AND VOTE OUT INCUMBANTS IN '08

curious about the current conflict between the Hezbollahs and the Israelites. From what I gathered from the news the Hezbollahs started all of this by kidnapping two soldiers in a cross border raid and then shelling Israel. And Israel answered back, with its own rockets and warfare. ( It is sad that the civilians are stuck in the middle. That Innocents are dying while trying to escape.) Hezbollah is asking for a cease fire through the UN. Now why in the hell do they think they have that right when THEY started the conflict? They had a 'cease fire' (of sorts b/c they werent being attacked) until they shelled Israel. I am an American citizen and feel truly fortunate because of the rights and liberties that I have within my country. Please tell me why they think they can attack but noone has the right to attack back????

Fascism believes in a large federal government, government control of all business, the disarming of its citizens, and no free speech.

Liberals believe in large federal government, federal control of all business, disarming the people and limiting free speech (you can't say God in public buildings)

Conservatives (notice I didn't say Republicans) believe in small government, free speech, the rights of its citizens to keep and bear arms, and the right to peaceful assembly.

Hmmm which one sounds like fascism?

So Liberals next time you start to call a Conservative a Fascist just think about it.

And if you are, why do you hate America? Liberals are always blaming America first, they hate everything our leader, George Bush does but they have absolutely no answers for anything. Here is what happened. I'm still going to school and lost my laptop a few months ago in class when I left to use the restroom. When I came back, it was gone. A few months later, I recognized someone from that same class I had lost my laptop in, using a laptop that was exactly like mine but I spotted him at the school cafe. I went up to him and asked if I could see it and he said "no." I automatically assumed he was the suspect and grabbed the laptop from him and ran across the room, (struggling since he chased after me) to inspect it. Unfortunately, it was a mistake and was not mine and I returned it but shorty after, the campus police arrived. I've had my name taken down on their police report but I was not arrested and was released immediately. My main concern is, if I apply for jobs and they run a background check, will it show that I was a "criminal" or will my name show on the list? For this case, when will records be erased since I wasn't convicted? Who can see the records?

My view on Affirmcative action as it is now is that it is not discriminatory to whites. Affirmative action just ensures that all people of every complexion and gender are given an equal chance in the working world. If Affirmative action were the other way around I would probably have a different view on it. Please don't attack me with your insults, just answer the question with your opinion.
