every little privacy that one might have, after tapping your phone and monitoring a person. It could happen to anyone. JUST ANYONE! Is this a free democratic country or some totalitorian regime? Are there some sinister reasons of doing this? Is the threat of terrorism being used to SACRE the public and create an atmosphere of FEAR. Is the government trying to brain wash the public like they did with the WMD in iraq? Is the government trying to create "cybogs" of ordinary people who will be living to pay for the many clandestine operations. Personally i think this is the ULTIMATE weapon to create an atmosphere of fear and then rule the mind and souls of the public? And i am not a commu! Just a guy who doesnt trust any news, or any politician. Could this be right?

I never knew my father, It took me 15yrs to find him, a day after he died. Here I found my Grandma and my 1/2 uncle called me to tell me the news. Here he didn't tell me where or how he died, said some funeral home contacted him. And they were going to call him at the end of the week. I did research on my own and found the funeral home. My 1/2 uncle called the morgue the same day I talked to him and said his mom wanted him cremated ASAP. The morgue asked if he had spouse or kids, he said NO. He was told in the state of Oregon, he can't be cremated until the next of kin is notified. Here he knew about me, my dad always talked about me, he knew my address and phone number and still he lied to the morgue. Do I have any rights? I found out my uncles and Grandma didn't know my father died until a few months later. The only person that knew was my 1/2 uncle. And that stupid uncle promised me he would send me all his stuff, he never did. My uncles told me to try and sue my 1/2 uncle.

I keep reading these angry posts about immigration, politicians (on both sides) and other issues regarding the politics/gov't in the USA. What would be some REAL solutions to the issues that impact you personally? Wouldn't the energy put into the anger be better spent on finding answers and taking REAL action instead of just hate spouting or personal attacks?

I'd love to hear some honest thoughts/ideas for a change! :)

I have contacted my local police dept. My county selectman. My Congressman. My Senator. My neighbors. And now this site. The police say it's a federal thing, and pass me to Immigration and Naturalization, which never answer their phones,my selectman is useless,my congressman is not much help at all, they revert me back to immigration, and my senator is also useless. No one cares.Meanwhile since 9/11 millions of elegal aliens including Mexicans, have left their countries to live here in the U.S.A.When is someone, with athority, going to do something.Every day that goes by,thousands of elegals make it across the southern border. And no one in government gets fired or repremended. And for those pro Mexican folks, how many Mexican Troops are in Afganistan or Iraq helping in the war on terror? The answer is 0.They are not helping at all.The only good thing is,all elegal aliens above the age 17 going to public schools, and residing in the U.S.A. must sign up for the draft. No exceptions.

Ethanol, despite getting all the press, has a lot of problems. One, it's expensive (currently around 3.00/gal to produce). Secondly, there couldn't possibly be enough of it to make a large dent in the oil need (If all corn grown in the US was made into ethanol, it would only replace 12% of the crude we now use for gasoline.) And third, it has a lower return of energy than gas which means cars would have to burn even more of it (lower mpg).

What are your thoughts on alternative fuels?

As an employer, I am legaly bound to verify a persons identity, social security number and work status (resident alien, green card, citizen). So, when I hire someone I ask for all of the documents to verify their status. I copy them all and put them in their job file. Many of these documents are bogus. How did they get them you ask? It is very easy. To prove my point, I went to Santa Ana, CA and found several open air stalls selling false ID and SS cards. Cheap too. $50 US. I called the local police and notified them of what was going on. They told me it was a federal issue. I called the FBI and was told is was an immigration issue. I called INS and was told that there were so many places like this that they would take a report but no other action would be taken.
So, my point is, why blame the employer, when he has no way of doing the job the federal, state and local authorities should be doing?

We were attacked on September 11. Spain was attacked on March 11. India yester day was attacked on July 11. The only thing that doesn't fit in is the London bombing on July 7. Anyone find this creepy?
Another thing is that the US and India were attacked on a Tuesday.
London and Spain were attacked on a Thursday.
Anyone else see any other pattern?

After answering a question on self abuse my answer was voted best answer/factual and resorceful. Yahoo then took it off because of the below policy. however I find this sad because if someone was really needing help. shouldn’t the question posed be taken as important This might help others in research or support. If there are postings that glorify negativities then maybe only the part “glorifying” negativity should be taken down. who will take down Bono’s basic advertising for his cause? See G.
