How do you wake up as an illegal alien? They didnt go to sleep in Mexico and wake up in the US not knowing what was going on. They paid MONEY to commit a crime. Further, what country am I from and what country am I in illegally?
I dont cross borders illegally, and I certainly dont do it, then start having kids, knowing full well their lives are a lie and I could be deported and them sent to some orphanage where I would never see them again. On the other hand,from what I understand, after Vicente Fox of Mexico chided President Bush regarding treatment of immigrants, stories surfaced of Mexico's almost universal discrimination against Guatamalean and San Salvadorans. Clean your own yard before you criticise another, Mr. Fox.
I wouldnt cross the border, Id find ways of improving my life in my NATIVE country. Go to school, invent something everyone needs, whatever it takes. Every country has the potential to be a "superpower" country. It all depends on the vision of its leaders.

I would milk the USA for everthing that I can. I will demand free education, free medical, and pay no taxes. I would put illegal license plates on my car, drive drunk and pay no car insurance. I would run up to every pickup truck I see and jump in to see if they are hiring. I would harass women and young girls. I would complain about this great country I now live in and march in a parade to show how proud I am to be from the country I fled from. And last but not least I would demand that Yahoo questions and answers be posted in my native language and not in English.
So if any illegal immagrants are reading this and they act like this, go the &%@ home and don't come back. If you are here illegally and you are trying to conform and fit in that's the AMERICAN DREAM.

I've been trying to legalize for years, but USA doesn't like European immigrants, even though I pay taxes here.
The others people on this forum have absolutely NO CLUE that legalization takes years, if it happens at all! You don't just show up at INS and say:"Listen, I have education, I speak English, why don't you make me a citizen, I mean no harm..."
