Why do people look down on immigrants? Do they not know that the core of the United State's economy is the work that immigrants do? Many small minded people say that it is because of illegal immigrants that our minimum wage had not changed, and they also blame them for the job's which they take away from legalized American's.
Well my response to these people is that the reason the majority of American's have a job is because of immigrant's...yes, it is true that immigration keep's the minimum wage from going up, but think about it people if there were no immigrants and the minimum wage did go up...how much would it cost companies? Wouldn't this mean less upper level positions to be able to fill the lower positions? So how much would companies lose? They would lose the college educated and experienced professionals which are eccential to the development of any company.
Not to mention, companies would also have to hike up prices on goods & services.-Would u be able 2 afford gas?

Why does it seem that republican's always make excuses for either a failing Rep pres. or a succussfull Dem pres?

two examples..

1- Bush's failure to get Bin Laden.
Rep excuse- They blame Clinton for not getting him earlier. Even though Bush has had 7 years to do it and a far better opportunity to..

2- The job creation during Clinton's term.

Rep excuse- Trickle down economic's from Reagon's tax cut's 10 yrs earlier.

I know that not all do this but most seem to.. doesn't make any sense to me.

Can the WMD (from 1991), found buried in Iraq recently, cause a mushroom cloud?

Why didn't Saddam use his WMD against US forces, instead of crawling into a pit?

What will be the consensus then? Will the Global warming folks concede or think he's still right? Will you find some reason to stick with him or move on? I know you'll think global warming caused cooling but be honest for a while and tell me if you think that natural climate changes changed things.

I COULDN'T EVEN SAY IT WITH A STRAIGHT FACE!

but seriously...

Does anyone miss the questions posed by Koo Koo Bananas?

and all the "evidence" thats supposedly in them?

Or do people think that those questions were meant only to show the ignorance that can be shown by libs?

I mean...don't get me wrong, cons can be just as bad...but not as vocally as Koo Koo here on Answers...

I for one, am glad that no one else can read those baseless questions and that i won't get baseless answers.

In the USA., it is said that all states have unique names assigned to them. For example Texas State has its name as " LONE STAR STATE". Would be thankful to have the names of other States.
Thanks.

Most of us try very hard to help people and sort out peoples money. We are having massive job cuts and we are not very well paid. But all we get every day is personal abuse from some benefit claimants. Why (serious answers please)

I have seen a few posts regarding this issue (mostly for user Oracle) and I want to get some more opinions on issue especially since it has recently been brought back to forefront in the media. Personally I don't think reparations would solve anything. How do you measure a monetary value for how much someone is affected by slavery? What is someone is black but they are over it? Should they get less than someone who still has it lingering in their mind? Should someone who had more slave ancestors get more than someone who only had a few? With historical records as sketchy as they are could we really accurately calculate who was a slave and for how long? My personal opinion is that I didn't enslave anyone so I'm not paying anyone a dime. I'm not at all racist in anyway either. I just work hard for my money and I'm sure not going to hand it out for something I didn't do.
