How many believe now that "Farinheight 911" is a documantry. among other "problems" Moore is having befall him is this
A double-amputee Iraq-war vet is suing Michael Moore for $85 million, claiming the portly peacenik recycled an old interview and used it out of context to make him appear anti-war in “Fahrenheit 9/11.”
Sgt. Peter Damon, 33, who strongly supports America’s invasion of Iraq, said he never agreed to be in the 2004 movie, which trashes President Bush.
In the 2003 interview, which he did at Walter Reed Army Hospital for NBC News, he discussed only a new painkiller the military was using on wounded vets.
“They took the clip because it was a gut-wrenching scene,” Damon said yesterday. “They sandwiched it in. [Moore] was using me as ammunition.”
Damon seems to “voice complaint about the war effort” in the movie, according to the lawsuit.
But what the father of two from Middleborough, Mass., was really talking about was the “excruciating” pain he felt

The stories about the soldiers accused of rape and murder in Iraq say they tchanged out of their uniforms to avoid detection. In some instances a soldier would lose "protection" if captured in civilian clothes.
Are the men accused in Iraq "soldiers" "spies" or "enemy combantants?"

I don't understand how our environment gets put on the back burner with our current administration. I have always looked at it like this trees=oxygen oxygen=breathing cut down trees=less oxygen less oxygen=less breathing. Just don't get it.

Don't they realise there are many other forums they only have to click the links on whatever subject they want.
Illegal Aliens are a big problem, and even the immigrants of America are suffering because of them. If your not American, or a legal immigrant, you do not even belong in this debate. It is up to us to decide what shall be done with illegal aliens. Most immigrants do not support these criminals either, and they have earned the right to have a say so, by becoming legal immigrants.
Those legal immigrants that do support these criminals are at risk of losing their citizenship by demand of the American people. Aiding and harboring known criminals in America is a Felony, and a Felony can result in loss of citizenship for an immigrant. it seems some legal immigrants have forgotten about that law as well.

Serious answers only please.

Do you think the dramatic difference of opinion between conservatives/freligious fundamentalists and liberals/secularists can be reconciled?

People seem more polarized than ever and it seems it would be difficult, if not impossible, to get them to unilaterally support any ideal or political principle.

Moreover, is it necessary to reconcile the opinions of the two groups in order to have a functioning society, or is such conflict a necessary and unavoidable part of any society?

This is not an attack on all cons, just the ones that continue to support the Dictator known a G.W. Bush. We used to have privacy, now phones are tapped, bank records monitored and counter-terrorism spys outed for political revenge. The 2000 election was removed from the hands of the people, and the 2004 election was the most corrupt in our history.(See "Everything You Know is Wrong" for 2000 election actual Florida vote tallies, and several books notated into an artical in last months Rolling Stone for some notes on the 7 state voter fraud in 2004, highlighting Ohio specificaly)This dictator has even come under fire recently by members of his own political party for circumventing laws.(Senator A. Spector-R, PA.) As well as the many other lies he has been caught in over the last 6 years.(Katrina, WMD's, trying to link the war in Iraq to 9/11 and other Saudi funded terror plots)Since free elections and protection under the rule of law constitutes freedom, why do they hate freedom?

I traveled to Mexico by car about 2 weeks ago and was outraged when MANY businesses were flying the U.S. flag the Mexican flag and the Canadian flag all flying together. It is not right. We the people are a soviergn nation. We the people don't fly other soviergn nation's flags. If you do fly flags of other soviergn nations, then I am inclined to say the you are not part of "We the people."

A lot of people vote one way or another for many different reasons. Programs like get out the vote, sponsored by MTV, rally a lot of young people to the voting booth, who may or may not undertsand the issues. Should society encourage folks to vote regardless of their knowledge of the issues? If so, what party benefits?
