I just finished watching a piece on border patrols. Did you know alot of middle eastern terrorists try to slip in along with the mexicans who just want to find a better way of life? I say we let the mexicans in and shoot the terrorists. But, in America, we are too nice and say, well, we can't do that, so we just send them all back to Mexico. Mexicans are welcome to come in. They are clean, they take jobs at farms at low cost wages that no one wants keeping the prices at supermarkets down and they do pay taxes if they are able to get to the city. I love their kids. They are my best students because they are happy to be in a country as good as ours. Most of my true American students have no clue how lucky they are. My mother and father are both immigrants and they became American citizens when I was only 9. I speak two languages fluently and all my brothers and sisters are college graduates and we work for the government helping our fellow immigrants. I am not Mexican, but I know the harder working people and most, sadly enough, are not American youth.

Because we are in the immigration forum of Yahoo Answers. If you want to talk about something else you should change forums. Yahoo has plenty to choose from.
Do you have a problem with discussing a serious issue about criminals calling themselves immigrants, when our own laws don't even call them that.
Illegal Aliens do not belong in America, and grown ups discussing ways to deal with the problem is the first step to solving the problem.
Immigrants are vital and welcome in America.
Illegal Aliens are criminals, that made a choice to break the law. If poor Americans break the law the excuse of poverty is not accepted, why should it be accepted for these criminals?
Yesterday I walked our of one of my favorite places to eat because I realized that they did not have any blacks, or whites, or anyone other than Mexicans working for them. There are laws against this practice, and sadly for them this morning I reported it. Equal opportunity employment means, if they are qualified it maters not what nationality, or color they are, you must hire them, not only your own kind. I am tired of these kinds of racists practices in my state being allowed, and I am reporting it. Most Mexican businesses only hire Mexicans, and sadly many are illegals, as I suppect is the case for the restruarant I walked out of yesterday, which has several stores in my area. When legal immigrants, and Americans start asking questions about the quality of service they are being provided, meaning is the person serving them not a criminal, then these businesses will be forced to abide by Americas laws. Everyone says the problem is industry breaking our laws, and the only way that I have found to know if the businesses, and services I use condone breach of international security, and practice equal opportunity employment is to ask. Having a sign up that says they do, doesn't mean they do.

Because some of us are closer to the problem than others.
My 2 bdrm apt is $1,100 a mo and it's not in a high class area. Why? Because we are overcrowded.
When I go to the store, I can't read the signs to find what I'm looking for. Why? Because it's in another language.
I have to pay $600 a mo for my son to go to a private school. Why? Because the lessons are slowed down to allow the children that don't speak the language of the country to learn at their pace and the classrooms are overcrowded.
I don't have a problem with people moving here from other countries...but it needs to be regulated just like everywhere else.
Other countries look down on some of us because we all don't want open borders......they don't have them either and in most cases are more strict than we are on immigration.

Cause Americans are sick of seeing the country being invaded by illegal aliens and the goverement incapable dealing with the index of thousands of thousands of illegal aliens wanting to shove out the very people who built America made it what it is today. Our own citizens cannot find work, our vets returning from Iraq are having to sleep in cars it takes them 6-12 months to find work, these so called illegal aliens who say we only want a better life.Although some illegal aliens enter this country for a better life, there are six billion people on this planet. At least one billion of those live on less than one dollar a day. If wanting a better life is a valid excuse to break the law and sneak into America, then let's allow those one billion to come to America and we'll turn the USA into a Third World nation overnight. Besides, there are 280 million native born Americans who want a better life. We're sick of getting sick of, Illegals aliens who are only here for now and interested in sending as much money back to Mexico as they can. Mexico has had years to make a country that is successful only they seem to want to sit back making excuse after excuse. It's time for Mexico to grow up and start taking the serious matters of the country and resolve them. America has done more for Mexico then any other country on the face of the planet. WE are sick of pumping millions of dollars in Mexico after they eaten the one meal, what's more important people hungry in America or Mexico Or Irag it goes round and round we would have dedicate the rest of our lives to help Mexico who can't even help themselves. That's the hardship of it. Mexico can't even help its self to help it's on people out, rather Mexico would rather export them out let the rest of the world have to resolve all Mexico problems cause their not grown up enough too!

Because it is an important issue facing our country at this time that needs to be settled.
Not to mention the fact that many people who are not citizens of this country, and didn't enter it through legal methods, spent a few days, earlier this year, marching openly through our streets demanding the same rights that are guaranteed to legitimate U.S. citizens by the U.S. Constitution.
That kind of brazen attitude and disregard for our nation's sovereignty has stoked the fires and until it's settled, it will probably continue to be discussed. The fact that it hasn't been taken care of now is what sickens me.

This is how soilders feel-most I talk too. Never have I heard them say-they don't know why they are there-only we say it..--they know!
A true Letter
One of my sons serves in the military. He is stationed stateside, here
in California. He called me yesterday to let me know how warm and
welcoming people were to him and his troops everywhere they go.
Telling me how people shake their hands and thank them for being
willing to serve and fight, not only our own freedoms but so that
others may have them too.
Then he told me about an incident in the grocery store he stopped at
yesterday, on his way home from the base. He said that several people
were in the line ahead of him, including a woman dressed in a burkha.
He said when she got to the cashier r, she made a loud remark about the
U.S. Flag, lapel pin, the cashier wore on her smock. The cashier reached
up and touched the pin and said, "Yes, I always wear it proudly, because
I'm an American."
The woman in the burkha then asked the cashier when she was going to
stop bombing her countrymen, explaining that she was Iraqi.
Then, a Gentleman standing behind my son stepped forward, putting his
arm around my son's shoulders and nodding towards my son, said in a
calm and gentle voice to the Iraqi woman: Lady, hundreds of thousands of
men and women like this young man have fought and died so that YOU could
stand here, in MY country and accuse a check-out cashier of bombing YOUR
countrymen. It is my belief that had you been this outspoken in YOUR own
country , we wouldn't need to be there today. But, hey, if you have now
learned how to speak out so loudly and clearly, I'll gladly buy you a ticket
and pay your way back to Iraq, so you can straighten out the Mess
in YOUR country, that you are obviously here in MY country to avoid."
He knows that killing goes both ways--it is time you do.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, when the issue goes away, people will stop venting about it. Personally I think open forum such as this is pretty darn healthy, and illegal immigration is only one topic out there that's worthy of a good discussion/rant/whathaveyou.
Currently, the US is racking up Major Bills supporting Mexico's excess population, and apparently its' existing one, as well.
We're being played, the whole 'baby in the camera lens' bit,
any sob story they think will sell well on national TV. Frankly, it's time to throw the red flag over Mexico's media antics, and their border practices, too.
I don't hate mexico, I don't hate mexicans. I also don't support large numbers of mexican people entering the United States at will for whatever purposes they might have in mind. We've got a GOOD country! But, that 'goodness' also needs to be MAINTAINED, and not just signed over to the first hard-luck case that walks across the street with their hand out, because unfortunately one thing that happens when you do that is that he's got 100 more right behind him. Point is, there's LOTS of hard-luck cases, people that have never tried to do a damn thing with their lives, never so much as applied for a job, lived off of stealing, other forms of crime, and our efforts to help have resulted in a lot of entry of people that just plain don't 'get it' as far as what immigration/emigration even mean. They just see a ready source of money, and past that they don't care. I could care LESS what country you're from, if you move to the United States, do the REST of the country a favor, pull your socks up, and give it a good honest effort...emphasis on the 'honest'. We don't need more larceny artists, drug dealers, gang members, money launderers, robbers, rapists, human traffickers, identity thieves, indigents, ne'er-do-wells, slackers, scammers, and frankly we don't need so many people trying to move in PERIOD.
Immigration's out of control, illegal immigration shouldn't even EXIST, and wouldn't were it not for complicity within our very own country. So, in addition to stepping up enforcement efforts to keep illegal aliens(foreign citizens entering our country illegally) from moving into our country and setting up housekeeping at will, it's also necessary to find those that have made it so easy for em to come in in the first place. This goes far beyond stockyards, this even involves companies like dear old Microsoft, and their visa quest, and they're far from being the only tech company out there trying to break the rules. Money buys influence in america, and some Big Money from outside the US is trying to pave a smoother path for people to enter at will and do whatever they want, laws are for the residents apparently.
What americans are asking for is that things like immigration laws be fully and thoroughly enforced, for a change, as this is also a step in prevention of a lot of problems. If people really really want to become US citizens, there's a legal process for doing it, that process needs to be followed, if it's not being followed, then there's a problem with the whole system of laws and law enforcement that needs to be fixed. Bringing all of this BS to a halt should be considered part of your civic duty if you count yourself an american, if you don't count yourself an american, and you're in our country, please pack your bags and get OUT. Thanks.

As I read the answers here, I hope that we are beginning to unite and that we will encourage all around us to unite to resolve this issue.
Bottom line, this is our land. The Congress is required to abide by the wishes of the people and the people want their country back. We want it safe, secure and all immigrants screened before moving here.
JESSICA, AWESOME ANSWER! THANK YOU FOR TAKING THE TIME TO SAY IT ALL SO WELL.

Yeah....we've have the North Korean deal, and ya know Bush stole the election in Mexico. (for as dumb as people portray him, he sure gets around and can do amazing things). I think the Illegal thing will be around for awhile longer until after the votes are finished in Washington. If I were a politician I would certainly have one of my staff monitoring this site.

Well, just like you brought it up again, a lot of people are doing the same thing. And here we are answering again. because it is a pressing problem that hasn't been fixed yet. The thing is that we don't all think alike! We all have our theories, points of view, etc. As long as the problem exists, it will be discussed.
