Look at it this way.
Let's assume you were part of a space-traveling race that came all the way to Earth, and you look at what we as a species are doing. You look at the most powerful nations on the planet bickering with each other. You look at countries blatantly ignoring their own founding laws. You look at the general way politicians lie to serve their own ends. And you notice that force and violence seem to be the only way countries communicate with each other to resolve problems.
If you were a space-faring species that wanted hatred and fear and divisive violence, then you'd keep quiet because we're already got that. And revealing your presence would just give everyone some external threat to rally against.
On the other hand, if you were a space-faring species that respected tolerance, and wisdom, and peace -- you'd take one look at this planet and turn around so fast your tentacles would spin.
I make no claims to speak on behalf of any species, not even my own. But seriously, I think the human race is on the verge of being un-salvageable, and I grew up here.

The Reptilians? Isn't that the party of Dick Cheney? Oh they've revealed all they are going to---rape American taxpayers, live a life of luxury, trash our reputation in the world and then retire the idyllic life in Texas and Wyoming, while the rest of us pay for it....yes very snake-like indeed.
