All public K-12 eduction will be funded exclusively thru a voucher sent to the parent/gaurdian. The parent will give that voucher to the school of their choice and the school can cash it.
There are no regulations or requirements except that the parents can receive no monetary reward (bribe) to send the kids to a school.
The schools must compete to convince the parents to send their kids.

All schools will be private, or public. Either way, it doesn't really matter. Some teachers will see large pay raises if they have many students who want to learn from them. Some teachers will be let go because they're just not gifted at teaching.

Some schools will close. New ones will open. There will be some abuse and some students will learn nothing, just like now. Many towns will see very little change. But for many it will be the chance to really learn from a motivated school. Empowering the parent seems like the ultimate solution. No one cares as much as the parents. Opinions?

The USA is far from number one in the fields of science, technology, and education. We are really lagging behind in all three. There are many other countries that have freedom and democracy so what makes America so great compared to the rest of the world? Why should any of us get up and shout we are number one anymore when by all statistics we are falling behind other industrialized countries?

Why? Would he be good at it? Would you like to work with him? If so, why? What do you think you could gain from your association with him? Could you trust him to work independently? How do you think he would get along with his coworkers? Would he be married or perhaps even in a gay relationship? Would Dick Cheney figure in some how?

Agree or disagree, our stance on Iran enrichment program is going to have a reverse effect in the long run. By insisting that there purposes for there enrichment program, isnt what they really tend to do with it. We are opening the door to new terrorist, whos going to feel that we are keeping there country in the dumps, so to speak, and inact terroeist activities within this country, although were not the only country in on it, but were going to be the ones to blame. Also it may be possible that they really want a new pwer source as they said, to make up for the ones we promised them, which was what some theororize was the reason for terrorist problems in the last decade or so, so I feel we should do all what we can to help them, so that we can show the upincomer terrorist were not all that bad, the oliver branch of peace. This way we can mointor them, and prevent future problems.

Also, Karl Rove is to be sent to Iraq, and Al Gore is to enter office right away. After all, he actually did win the presidency in 2000, and we owe him that much.

Because that isn't what he said. That would've been a lie. What he said was that when he was in the senate, he took the initiative to HELP invent the internet. That was the truth. See, Gore, and Gore alone, made it his #1 priority to push for the funding that made possible the internet we know today. Without that government funding, the whole damn thing would probably have been set back 20 years.
So Gore was telling the truth. And Karl Rove (aka the REAL president) and the conservatives were liars.
Big surprise, huh?

I officially announce my candidacy for President. Here are me solutions to important issue:

Social Security- leave it alone....there is nothing wrong with it

The war in Iraq- we are getting the hell out of there, immediately.

Gay marriage- government has NO business in your personal life. legalize it

Gay adoption-ditto

Abortion- will remain legal....with MANY more restrictions. it is just way too damn easy to get one.

Prayer in schools- shockingly enough, I'm all for it. on your own time, in a designated place, and only if a teacher or school official volunteers to lead the group. taxpayers shouldn't have to pay for it. and this goes for ALL religions.

Taxes-You make more, you pay more. Wealthy people don't pay enough.

Immigration-It shouldn't be so hard for people to become American citizens. You make it easier, people stop jumping the border, and the cost goes down

VOTE KUBRICKIAN IN '08. now its on to Chicago, and let's win there.

Today, I've read that the CIA has closed Alec Station. This was the group that Bill Clinton started to search for Bin Laden. The last time we had Bin Laden cornered, our white house made the troops stand down, while Bin Laden escaped.
It's a known fact the the Bin Laden family and Bush family have had business ties for decades.
When are we going to wake up and start demanding some action from our president and his cronies?
