but if a guest or caller brings up a subject the host doesn't agree with, they interrupt or just hang up on them? How many calls do you think do not get through if they do not agree with the host?

Short answer is that they want to have the allusion of openness. I have called the Dennis Prager show on Friday in his second hour when it's "Ask me anything" time and his screener has not allowed me through and has only said for me to send him an email. Since Dennis has fielded religious questions during the rest of the week, I felt mine were more intellectual than the screener felt competent for.

Al Franken will let someone with an opposing view talk. I have heard many Repubs call Progressive Radio and discuss their views. They even appear on the shows.
