we would be alot less criticized by other countries and our country would be a safe and peaceful environment since then we would be minding our own business then!!!! but ...sigh.... America loves butting into others business and conflicts and we end up getting ourselves caught in some trouble!!!

We are concerned with the welfare of our own. We pay billions each year in Tax dollars to support such social programs. That is why there is such a big flap over the illegals. If they were all doing there share, it wouldn't be so ugly. But for the most part they are sucking these social programs dry, and of course breaking the law.

Good question. All this talk about 'eliminating global poverty by INSERT DATE HERE'. If we had used the money that has gone to Iraq on improving the quality of life for Americans, a whole lot would have been accomplished by now. It's just not that simple though. If we expect country A to let us run our airbase there, they might want us to buy X amount of vegetables and contribute V amount to their special project. IDK

You mean, 'first help yourself, then help others'? Well I don't know, sounds kind of fishy to me, or common-sensical and stuff, I don't think the voters'd go for it...of course the voters didn't go for Congress' last pay raise, but they got one anyway...
