Is there a portable ultrasound machine that could be transported by a vet to a farm or someway to detect a very early mare pregnancy. Like in the first month.

I brought buddy home on Saturday he was very active for two days. I noticed his butt is dirty from him going to the bathroom but his stools are hard not soft or runny. The dirty part is not wet but pretty dry with some wet spots of this moring He is eating and drinking water but is not active now for the last two nights. His eyes are fine and nose but his ears are always down. Do I have anything to worry about or do I just need to take buddy to the vet or is there other signs I should look for before going that far. Could his dirty butt just be from changing places and new food?
Thanks,
Tina and Buddy

My friend needs a show name for her, chestnut mare. She's very laid back, and listens to anything you tell her to do. She can jump, and she rides her hunt seat. Her name is Penny, but has never shown so we need a show name for upcoming shows.
What we have so far:
Pretty Penny
Lucky Penny
Picture Perfect

It does not have to have penny in it, or start with a "P" just make sure it somewhat fits please! Thanks! You can reply here or e-mail me!

We have a male and female mouse who had a litter seven weeks ago. We want to breed more mice but are worried that deformities may result from breeding closely linked genetic mice just like with humans. Can this sort of thing happen if you breed brothers and sisters or allow a females father to mate with her?

We would like to get a rabbit(s). I would rather just get one, but do they benefit from 'company' or are they happy on their own? And if you think 2, is it best to get 2 girls or 2 boys? Thank you.

My guinea pig is a year and a few months old, but I've owned him for about 8 months. He is very affectionate and loving, but whenever I take him out of his cage, he acts ... different. I know he is probably nervous, but for the first few minutes he is fine. However, he will softly squeak (which I'm guessing means he is nervous). If I cover him with a blanket, he stops. If I softly clap or give him food, he stops.

Anyway, so I wanted to know if all guinea pigs generally softly squeak when they are out of their cage and also, what it means. Thanks!

I have a Quarter Horse that suddenly is spooking at everything. He is being used as a lesson horse, and is treated very well. He never spooked at anything before the shows. My past shows went well, but last week I took him to a horse show and we didn't do well. Even my trainer couldn't understand this behavior! I later found out that he was spooking at a banner. He has never acted like this before, being a lesson horse. Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am putting together a 1/2 hour show on cable tv (yes I know cable TV isn't the most popular channel) showcasing local homeless cats and dogs in the area. I'm also thinking about doing interviews with local vets on animal health issues, with dog and other animal behaviour specialists, and showing local dog trails and parks.

is there anything else that one would like to see on the show if they did like this idea?

I only ask this out of pure curiosity as it came up in a discussion with some friends. Surely any pregnancy checker looks for the same hormone variants when detecting pregnancy.
Does anyone have an accurate answer for this one?
