I am putting together a 1/2 hour show on cable tv (yes I know cable TV isn't the most popular channel) showcasing local homeless cats and dogs in the area. I'm also thinking about doing interviews with local vets on animal health issues, with dog and other animal behaviour specialists, and showing local dog trails and parks.

is there anything else that one would like to see on the show if they did like this idea?

This sounds like a great idea! You could maybe interview an owner who has a dog or cat who used to be homeless. They would have plenty of good things to say about the animal that would contradict the general thought that homeless animals are too aggressive or have other problems and do not make good pets. Good luck!

I think that it is a great idea to put that type of show on cable tv. I would be a great show for animal-lovers, veternarians, and future veternarians. You have my support!!!!
