This rules out feeding them of course. Or just saying it with words. Tell me of your own unique way.

Like I jump on my cats, but not with my body weight, I fall next to them with my arms around them and then in a dramatic way I repetedly say: "OH CUTE!" They love it. They purr when I do that. Other people think I'm crazy, but my cats love it!

she is an 11 yr old tb mare. i have boarded her for the past 3 yrs and just gained ownership by foreclosing on the lien i had on her.(her owner owed me 1388.00 and i haven't seen her since june)her ground manners are excellent and she has a wonderful personality. she's only been under saddle about 15 times in her life. is she to old and set in her ways to have fully trained and rode out or am i in for problems? my 1st horse was green broke and she broke my arm. i don't need that to happen again but it would break my heart to get rid of her.(yes , she is going to a professional trainer) any input on this would be great.

There are so many different horse trainers I've heard say that if you imprint your foal at Day 1, he will be used to grooming, tacking, clipping, etc and will be generally easier to handle. Others say imprinting will ruin the colt, and to let a horse grow up naturally.

My mom imprinted her mustang/appaloosa filly at Day 1. We can now lead her with ease, groom her, and bathe her at seven months old. On the other hand, a friend of ours imprinted a filly at Day 1, and she runs over you during leading, won't groom (fly spray & picking up hooves), and certainly won't clip. She's even kicked out at her owner more than once. My personal opinion is that imprinting doesn't do much to the foal, and that you should spend that time for bonding. The way you handle them and their personality will determine how they grow up to be (our friend is very timid) but thats just from my experience

What are your opinions on imprinting?

Our dog brought home a very dirty, dead rabbit. I realized it belonged to the neighbors but they weren't home. I had to act fast! With my wife's help we bathed it and then dried it off with a hair drier. I snuck into their back yard and put it back in the pen. A while later the neighbors showed up and I heard a scream. I asked him what happened and he said,"Our rabbit died this morning and we buried it and some sick son-of-***** dug it up and stuck it back in the cage!".

My friend owns a 15-year-old pony and seems to think he needs nothing. However, it can get below freezing here. I bought the pony a blanket and my husband and I put it on him the past few evenings of freezing temps. He has lived his entire life in North Florida and is acclimated to the temps here, not Scotland, where they originate from. This is the basis for my argument. The pony's owner believes his genetic makeup predisposes him to accept any cold temps that he is faced with. I would greatly appreciate any information someone who has worked with Shetland ponies may have to offer. Thanks.

My sister has just got two baby hampsters and is trying to think of names for them.
They are both girls.
She wants two similar names or names that have a connection, eg Trinny and susannah, or milly and molly.
Please reply with any ideas.
Thanks

I've had my rose hair tarantula for a couple of years now but I still don't like to hold it. I guess I'm still scared of getting bit. I'm just curious if any tarantula owners have been bitten? If you have was it as bad as you had imagined? Tell me about your experience.

I'm retireing from breeding horse due to a downward change in life's circumstances and ned to find free ways of finding new homes for 2 pg mares and a stallion, All Appaloosas and an older Arabain who is double registred arabain and pinto. None have been broke to ride. I had expected to keep until they passed away. My heart is breaking as contemplate my life without them. The mares would be easy to train tho so I'd be happy to sell them cheap to forever homes to some young horse -crazy family. I hope you guys here can help me find good forever homes for my babies

I'm sick of spending $1.50 each week for a mouse for my snake so I got 2 live mice and am going to kill(humanly gassing them) the babys and feed them to the snake. So far I spent $3.99 each for the adult mice and should get a litter a month with 3-12 babys.

She currently has a skin infection which is being treated with Fuciderm cream and Baytril (antibiotics) 0.25ml. She seems fine in her self but was wondering wether the sneezing and UTI could be a side effect from the antibiotic as they only started when she started the Baytril. Oh she has also had an injection as a precaution for mites.
