call petco. the petco here in los angeles gives freeeee guinea pigs and hamsters away on a regular basis. they have an overabundance of them, and give the babies away. you can bet they're healthy, too! if you call petco, tell them you would like to adopt one of their free guinea pigs, and ask them when they'll be giving them away. i'm sure they'd be glad to help. if you still would rather buy one, you can get one at petco for like $20 or so. good luck!

I don't know where you live city wise but you can rescue guinea pigs just like cats and dogs. If you want one and want to make a difference in pet population adopt one :) Plus you will most likely get all of the supplies you need to care for it when the previous owner gives it up.

We sold some guinea pigs for five dollars each Most pet shops sellthem around for 15 dollars. Email if you want and I can give you more detailed information.

Adopting is nice but if you want a younger animal and one that you know is healthy you can go to any PetSmart store and should find it between 20-30 dollars www.petsmart.com
