I want to get a small pet and I narrowed my decision down to 2. Either a Peruvian (long-haired) guinea pig or a Rosella Rainbow Parakeet. I want something that will be intelligent and affectionate. Which one should I get and why?

suddenly the owner wants more than the advertised price or maybe she will keep him. She really doesn't know. My 17 yr old daughter is crushed, near to tears. Other than reporting to the horse council (if she is even a member) what options do we have?

Addional: the current owner has never rode him, or hand trotted him, or lifted his back feet. She is terrified of him. My daughter has been riding hunter / jumper classes for 6 yrs and all ready lifted this horses back feet and hand trotted him the first day they met.

I have a 4 year old mare that if wonderful natured, sweet with people and easily trained. The only problem I am having is she wants to kick other horses on the trail. It is not a matter of crowding and it has only happened a handful of times so far but I need to fix this now before it becomes a permenant issue. Does anyone know of a safe and humane way to teach her not too? In all other ways she is veary willing. She does water, bridges, traffic and trains. I just need help in this spot. Any help would be apreciated.

I was practicing my two point a lot today, and while I was doing it my back really hurt, and it hurts now, about 3 hours after the lesson. When I do other work on the horse, my back doesn't hurt me. It's only when I do two point.
Why is this, and how can I fix it? Will I have to stop riding because of it?
Oh, my mom has a back problem, but I was checked for it and don't have it. Just some background info.

I have a pet gerbil and I own a VCR. The gerbil climbed inside my VCR and won't get out. There is a VHS cassette in there right now and he still managed to get in. I tried pressing some of the buttons on the VCR hoping that it would make him come out. I pressed play and the video started playing and I heard a large yelping noise, well it was mildy loud atleast, I'm not sure if my gerbil is alright. What should i do?

He's crate trained and everything, but he's only 5 months old. He will only be with me for a couple of weeks anyway, until I leave for basic, then my mom is keeping him. Should I just sneak him in? I would pay the deposit, but they won't let me because he's not a year old. Isn't that dumb?

When possible, I would like to donate to pet owners or animal rescuers who may need that extra bit of help from time to time in caring for their animals.
Is there a place where I can do this?

a couple of weeks ago my hamster escaped from her cage. we found her 2cdays later under the fridge and she seemed ok but recently she has been losing her hair and now she is almost completley bald. I took her to the vet who gave her antibiotics, he said she had an infection. She eats ok but she seems a little lifeless. Any suggestions. Thanks.

ok, my horse, Daisy is a frisky, stubborn brat, but i love her. her gate is walk, trot and prance. she is used to being ridden western which is what my granma who bought her rides. i learned english. when i ride her english with the english saddle she lowers her head like she is going to buck, she does that with my grandma too. when she rides her western, with the western saddle, she is way better. should i lear to ride western which i don't like as much, or should i fix this problem, and if so, how do i do that?
