When possible, I would like to donate to pet owners or animal rescuers who may need that extra bit of help from time to time in caring for their animals.
Is there a place where I can do this?

You can call your local animal shelter to see if they need any donations.
You can also visit the Animal Wish List yahoo group. It is a Charity group where pet owners, rescuers, rehabbers, and animal sanctuaries post messages about the things they need help with to care for their animals.
Read through the messages to see if you can help anyone there.

you can call your local animal shelter or humane society and donate a bag of pet food or even your time. It is always needed.

If you want to donate you should look up the anima protective leauge in your city or state. They aways have animals to feed especially in the winter

depending on your state. province call your local shelter and ask about this. Some places have a temporary foster system that you could enroll in.
