There are any number of pet care jobs - groomer, dog walker, pet sitter, "poo" pick up (there's a service around me that does that, not sure how common it is nation wide though), if you're comfortable with large animals you could work on a horse farm, dairy farm, beef cattle farm, buffalo farm. If you wanted to go to school and get an education you can do research on many different levels. I have a friend who does research on the human-animal bond. You can research physiology, anatomy, rehabilitation, etc. If you wanted to become a physical therapist or a physical therapy assistant there are animal therapy certificates you can get to practice physical therapy on animals. You could do massage, chiropractic (starting as a human chiro). Again, if you are comfortable with horses or other large animals you could be a farrier or a podiatrist (sounds funny, my "farrier" is actually one of these, essentially a barefoot trimmer). You could do pet therapy with any number of species. You could be a therapist and work in a Therapeutic riding program. Just a few ideas... :)
