I have 6 pets right now. I have two cats-
Ruby (Birman)- She was a rescue cat who had already been named.
Mogwai (Persian)- He's got such a funny little face, it's a cross between your peke-faced persian and a doll-faced persian looking face he looks exactly like Mogwai the Gremlin hence the name!

We also have 4 rats-

Otto- he's chubby and cuddly and a little dorky so Otto just seemed to fit.

Bonzai- When we first got him he was just crazy he couldn't sit still he was very dynamic so we thought a dynamic name would fit.

Ramekin- I just loved the name for a ratty.

Gizmo- I have no idea why that name was picked!

We'll be getting a Mastiff next year (after being on a waiting list for about a year) and these are the names we're considering:

Bane- a hawaiian boys name which means "long awaited son"
Argo
Dagan
Koza
Greer - watchful, guardian (gaelic)
Brogan- sturdy and strong (gaelic)
Gamba- warrior (african)
Taban - genius (gaelic)
Taber- from the trenches (hungarian)
Diesel

I have a 6 year old pitbull mix named "Chopper" named after the junk yard dog from the movie Stand By Me, and a pug mix named "Mister Bojangles" after a Bob Dylan song about a man and his dog. I suggest naming a dog for a reason that is special to you because a lot of people ask me why and I'm happy I have interesting answers.

My cat is Bobo, why, good question really don't know. My Boston is named Lola, liked the name and the next Boston, will be named Sophie. The 2nd Boston is in the works. The names just come to me I guess.

My 2 guinea pigs are Cyrano, because he has a big nose, and Chester, because I thought he looked like a Chester.

My dogs names are Freddy and Rufus. Freddy was adopted from a rescue group, so he came with the name. Rufus looks exactly like a Rufus. I couldn't imagine any other name fitting him.

lobo(Spanish for wolf) theres a story behind that. i got him when he was 2 months, on the truck, when he was 3 months old, someone tried to break in, picked the lock and opened the door, the growls that came out of that little 6lb bundle of fur, was enough to scare the devil out of the would be thief, and to wake both me and the hubby out of a dead sleep. the name stuck.
hes 3 years old now and still does his job.
its in his heart.

We have two male cats, one is a dark grey tabby with a white belly and paws, so we called him 'Sox', and the other one is a red (ginger) tabby with no white on him at all, so we called him 'Nutmeg' (besides, my daughter always wanted to call her pet that, lol). It suits them, lol!
