Can Guinea Pigs live in a BIG cardboard box? I was planning on getting one next week and I was wondering... can my new guinea pig live in a big cardboard box? The box would be tall but not too tall so that the Guinea Pig won't jump out and escape, and it would be very long, enough for my new Guinea Pig to run around in.

Also... any other information about Guinea Pigs would be very helpful. Thank you.

Dog or Cat... Which is cleaner?

I know a dyson or a kerbie will do the trick but unfortunately they are not in my current price range. Do any of you pet owners (specifically of cats) have any vaccum buying advice? My current vaccum is terrible and I'm looking for something new that wont leave pet hair behind (like the one I have now does even when I use the pet release powders) Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

It's finals week and my bf and I have had NO time to clean lately. Papers, books, notebooks, and shoes are all over the living room. Sometimes I feel that my cats are annoyed by the mess... I'm going to clean this place spotless after finals are done, but do you think cats shouldn't be in a messy environment?

Everytime my cats fall asleep they have the cutest looks on their faces or sleep in the cutest positions. Why do animals have to be so darn cute when they sleep?

Siberian Huskies are not supposed to be over protective and are supposed to be friendly. My huskie, however, is over protective and is sometimes friendly. She doesnt like strangers(I cant bring friends home) and sometimes i pet her and shes fine with it but then all of a sudden she starts knawing on my hand.. Another thing is that I take her outside to do her business and she pees and then we go back inside..Once were inside she takes a crap INFRONT OF ME! Does anyone know what I should do?

I put it in a jar filled with water. I gave it some frozen peas but it isn't eating them. Its shell is black and its limbs are orange. We live near a resaca, and I think it came from there. Does anyone have any advice?

I just bought a 13 year old gelding. I've been doing light riding with him outside, the temps been in the 40s, for the past two days. He seemed ok while I was riding him but as I lunged him today he seems very stiff in his hind legs. What are some natural ways I can help him stay loose as the weather gets colder and he is riden less often during the winter? Please use layman terms, I'm a bit of a novice.

I just bought a new horse, who is very fancy and is going to be competing in the A/O Hunters and eventually the Working Hunters.

BUT, before him was my favorite horse, Wonder. His show name is Twist of Fate and I had him for a very long time until I had to sell him. He was all heart and still is gorgeous. I want the new horse to have a tribute name. I came up with Fate's Promise. But, I need options to present to my trainer. Something with Fate or Twist, but something that I could easily keep going with the next horses to come.
Got any ideas?

Every time I get online and go to yahoo answers, there's hundreds of questions asking what to do about...dog has christmas tree needles stuck in it's throat, cat is puking up blood, dog got run over and his guts are hanging over the tree limb where he landed.....questions like this make me want to stay away from answers....I mean...Does it not dawn on people to take the suffering animal to the VET?!?! and if you can't afford the care, either put the animal down or ask the Tech's if anyone would be interested in taking it. WHY do people let their pets suffer? Why would you even concider letting them outside where there's more dangers and risk of them getting sick and/or getting a nasty disease?? not mention getting run over or the neighbors pet getting ahold of it... I don't get it! (I may be PMSing, I don't know, but the most ridiculous questions get asked). ahem, ok I'm better now.

I have four cats...three dark ones (dark gray/brown, black, and one very dark tabby) and one that is pure white. The white one is the sister of the black one and very loving and sweet, but the three dark ones hang out and lick each other's ears and the white one hangs out in the bathroom next to the kitty litter box...She is always lying by herself except when I get in bed...then she lays with me... This sounds like a dumb question, but it is seriously something I have wondered. At times she seems depressed, but I can't figure out why...

Ok heres the deal, up until about 5 months ago I had 1 dogHhad him for 6 years) One Cat (had him for 4 years). That was fine and plenty because I live in a 14x70 trailer home. Than my grandma died and my grandpa was put into a nursing home so I aquired their shitzu. Which was ok. Than 2 weeks ago someone dropped off a huge orange cat and my kids found it and brought it in and he is a absolute sweetheart. My problem is I HAVE NO ROOM! However I cannot bring myself to get rid of or destroy any of these animals. The cats would be put to sleep at a shelter and the dogs are the only things I have to take up my time when everyone is gone all day. I just dont know what to do. And my husband wants to get rid of the cat and the shitzu. What would you do?

By "fighting" I mean chasing each other around the cage they don't get hurt but they do make sounds and try to borrow. Is it like mating or something?

I have two cats and a rabbit that is free to roam the house. The cats seem to be frightened of the rabbit and he certainly charges at them and makes them jump out of the way. Has anyone else had cats and rabbits living amicably - or had cats that have eaten their rabbit when left alone? This is what I am afraid of. Any experiences gratefully received.
