It's finals week and my bf and I have had NO time to clean lately. Papers, books, notebooks, and shoes are all over the living room. Sometimes I feel that my cats are annoyed by the mess... I'm going to clean this place spotless after finals are done, but do you think cats shouldn't be in a messy environment?

Mine sleep 18 hours a day, kick kitty litter all over the bathroom floor, eat plastic bags and then yak all over the rug, and tear apart and drag all over the house the hot-pink feathers from their feather boa toy...I don't think, at this point, they have any room to complain.

Or, they can just grow opposable thumbs and help me clean the place up...their choice. Chances are, they would rather sleep and b|tch about how I don't feed them 12.6 times per day. I still think they are pretty cool though...

Oh the poor element! It looks like he's grieving for his brother - cats reported mutually as kittens could be very close (mine are continuously mutually, i'm dreading the day we would desire to handle any style of separation) and needs some reassurance from you that each little thing is going to be ok. i'm not sure getting a clean kitten so with out postpone replaced into this type of super concept, although i comprehend you probably did it given which you probably did no longer opt for your cat to be lonely, even though it would desire to even have upset him, in his eyes his brother has long gone, and now there is somebody else contained in the abode, he would desire to worry that he would be out quickly too! i'm particular in time they'll study to get alongside, I even have an older cat who replaced into incredibly grumpy in direction of any kittens that got here alongside, yet after some months of hissing and flailing paws they continuously ended up being acquaintances. i'm hoping your older cat quickly adjusts to the changes on your lives, and that i'm hoping that your kitten settles in too :) good luck!

Not so much an messy environment but they hate a dirty litter box and dirty food dishes, just don't let that slip. They might be a little confused by the mess but keep their personal things as normal as possible. Good luck with exams.

Cats do not mind a bit of clutter as long as they have room to navigate and a decent spot to lay down. Perhaps they are annoyed by the crackling noise made by the papers as they walk over them.

I feel different about this because my cats just walk around real slow looking at all the stuff, then one day and they are jumping on it in it and around it, they end up playing real hard with the stuff. my problem is keeping them out of it so I can sleep at night without all the noise from them playing...
and now matter what goes on, my cats are well trained and never go any where but int heir own liter box.

good luck

Cats don't have the concept of mess except an overful litter tray
when they crap on the floor. I live with six of them and they love disorder

No I don't think they really care. They are more concerned with the change in thier environment. Probably worried if you are going to pass finals also.

Cats like a messy house actually. It gives them much more things to play with!
