if you are a legitamate resuce you can get stores or food companies to donate free food... stores always give away the outdated food (which is atually still good) and can easily get a company to donate food to LEGIT charities in exchange for you promoting the food to adopters...
in future you wouldnt take on more pets than you can accommodate...

There are a few things you can try. First contact your local animal shelter/SPCA etc. and see if they will help or give you contacts for supplies. Second, try getting in touch with the major pet food manufacturers. If you are a 501c charity, you will have a better chance, but they might help anyway. Good luck!

Check around at local stores like walmart and see if you can have busted sacks of dog food that people can't buy. I have heard of it working. Good Luck!

Rescue I know of gets regular donations from Petsmart and area country store.

You can contact your local pet stores and vet hospitals...alot of times they will make a considerable donation to fund your cause! Good Luck...

try putting up posters and handing out flyers that say"ANIMAL SHELTER IN NEED OF....."
Also go 2 this site to help other shelters in need!
