I have a 15 yr old gelding that is overweight. He has 24 hr access to his hay and he does not get fed grain. He is kept in a large pasture. I ride him a couple times a week and i worm him regularly. No matter how hard i try to get him to lose weight it just never seems to happen, He even looks like he is getting fatter. What can i do to get him to lose weight?

Cheetahs are bigger and faster than small gazelles, but more often than not gazelles escape a pursuing cheetah by zigzagging. Exactly why does this put the cheetah at disadvantage?

We caught it when it was trying to attack one of my cats. I had to hit it with a broom and I guess I knocked it out. I put a harness leash on it and tied it to a pole in my back yard. It put up a 'do not enter' zone around the cat so no one will get bitten. But the cat is insain crazy and tries to attack anything near it. It is the coolest thing ever. We got a sweater and a pair of jeans and wrapped them over and over with duct tape so we can run up to the cat and let it attact us. I feed it and dont want to let it go because it will pass on the rabies and I dont want to kill it.

I am becoming a pet-sitter, mainly cats. I have read loads of books on cats, but whats a good cheap way to have litterboxes/beds if the owner happens to forget or something... just in case. I know it probably won't, but just to be sure, what kind of things do dog/cats like alot when they are away from their home? I can't find ANY books on this! Also, how do cats get on top of the fridge? I heard it's a good place for cats to sleep, but how do they sleep in a box? A regular box? Do they really jump 7-8 feet high!?

Have you ever seen the movie, "the dawn of the dead" its just like how they kept that zombie. I feed it and dont want to let it go because it will pass on the rabies and I dont want to kill it.

most "normal" people use toilet paper after they poop. Seeing how dogs and cats poop just like we do, having your dog or your cat lick your face isn't the best thing. Especially since they lack the capacity to use toilet paper. LOL. No I'm not bored. It's just a gross thought that I had after watching my friend's dog lick him all in the face and mouth! Any thoughts on this one?

I will have a wire top so he'll have lots of air, and I'll get him out and clean his cage everyday. I just can't put him in a wire cage because I have a 3 year old that will stick his fingers in and might get bit.

Hi, I have a pet guinea pig that I purchased a few months ago. It is a male Abyssinian. I currently have it on its own, and would like to purchase another one so that it does not get lonely. I certainly don't have the time or money to deal with guinea pig babies, so I was thinking of getting another male.

I've heard that 2 males together isn't necessarily a recipe for disaster, but I was hoping to get some more input. Also, is it ok to house 2 different breeds together?

Thanks.

They fight when they are put into the same cage. they are both females and when i got them over the summer, they stayed together in the same cage. But then, one day i saw them and one had a bite on its back. So, i put them in seperate cages. About two weeks later, i tried to put them in the same cage and they started chasing eachother. One of the cages i have has a wheel and the other doesn't, so i have to keep trading the hamsters between cages so they can get their excercise. Any ideas on how to make them stop fighting or to a least get them in the same cage w/o one killing the other one?

There's a horse I ride quite often who is the sweetest thing alive until she sees a horse trailer. She totally freaks out even if you're juz walking past the trailer and starts backing up. At one stage she had to go to the vet and freaked out so much she ended up hurting her hindleg. She's obviously scared of loading because she probably had a bad experience in the past so I have to take a passive, non-forceful route to helping her. So pls if there r any horsey people out there with experience pls give suggestions.
