If you live in the UK & want to take pets abroad you can get them a pet passport. This is not a cheap or quick process though.

We got passports for our two cats because we were moving abroad but wanted the option to bring them back with us at a later date. We had to get them rabies injections, then 8 weeks later, blood tests from a registered vet to check the vaccine had worked. Then they were not allowed back into the UK for another 6months.

Ask your vet for details or see government regulations on the link below if you want to go ahead & get your pet ready for travel on a regular basis.

If you just want to go for a weekend holiday, then it might be better to get a friend or relative to look after them.

Ring up your vet and ask what you need. You do need a pet passport for lots of places to show the animal has the vaccinations needed and deworming etc

Did not quite understand your question. But you don't need a passport for a pet. You probably need a licence to show that it is disease free and all. Is this what you are trying to find out?

This website (DEFRA) helped me to get a dog from UK to Holland. Had to get vaccinations, the right cage from the airlines for travel. You usually get it from the vet who gives the injections.

Hope this helps.
