Pet-sitter?

I am becoming a pet-sitter, mainly cats. I have read loads of books on cats, but whats a good cheap way to have litterboxes/beds if the owner happens to forget or something... just in case. I know it probably won't, but just to be sure, what kind of things do dog/cats like alot when they are away from their home? I can't find ANY books on this! Also, how do cats get on top of the fridge? I heard it's a good place for cats to sleep, but how do they sleep in a box? A regular box? Do they really jump 7-8 feet high!?

yes, they jump that high, and can jump down fron things even higher and be fine

You plan on having the cats at YOUR house! I have NEVER heard of a petsitter doing this! Usually you go to someones house and care for the pet there. That is the WHOLE point, so that animals can stay in their OWN comfortable, familiar surroundings and not be stressed out. Perhaps some dogs would not mind going to a strangers house, but cats will be totally stressed and will probably hide the whole time. And from your odd questions....I think you know NOTHING about animals! What are you talking about??? I suggest you get a pet of your own and see if you can care for IT before you try and care for other peoples pets.

Yes, they can jump that high and they like the warmth of the fridge. For cats have some catnip and some wet cat food (check with owner first to make sure it's okay to feed them this) in case they get upset...this might help calm them down.

Have you ever had a pet? If the answer is no or for a short time, please stay away from that profession. You should have been with animals all of your life, because their lives depend on your experts knowledge. Find something you will be good at.

cats do amazing things, geta piece of fishing line and tie a bell on the end of it and put it on the floor. Or geta flashlight. You definetly need cat litter.
