My friend is really worried, she said she was cleaning the pigs cage and she found a tooth, it was a back tooth, not a front, i found out that ginea pigs teeth can fall out if they chew on the cage bars alot. So i told my friend this, and she said her pig does chew on the bars alot. But after thinking a while, how could the back tooth fall out if when isnt it the front that are usually chewing on things? Could her ginea pig be sick? She said the same thing happened to another ginea pig she had and it died soon afterwards. Thanks for any help.

My husband and I would like to start our own rabbitry. We're located in Northern Wisconsin. We just sent in Membership Dues to the ARBA and are waiting for a reply. In the meantime, we already have 2 pet rabbits. 1 Netherland Dwarf, and 1 Lionhead. We've owned rabbits for about 2 years but never thought about breeding. (Most were rescued rabbits) Where is the best place to get breeding stock? What should we look for in the breeding stock? I have many more questions, but this should work for now. Thank You in advance....

I'm a animal LOVER! BUT, I need some honest answers, I'm very sensitive to smells and odors, and I know that Ferrets have a smell to them. I have a place to keep his cage thats a extra room, but I've heard lots of bad things about how bad their smell is. So, how often can they be bathed? Does it help? Is there anything you can put on them to help with the smell? Don't they use kitty litter boxes?? Do they go to the bathroom alot? Or should I say, is their pee and poop strong? How is it compared to a cat with a box? I would aprreciate anything anyone could tell me about them, good and bad. Not for sure if its a girl or boy. How long do they usually live? Do they need anykind of shots from the vet? Should they be taken to a vet annually? Please be honest! Thanks!!!!

Or even a taste?
I have never done this but I usually have to open the little packets of ketchup or dressing with my teeth (not very classy I know). Just got wondering if anyone has done the same (without thinking about it) with pet food with bad consequences. I'm really sorry for you if you have (eewwww)

I'm looking into buying one for myself (because they're just sooo cute!!) but I'd like to know how much they go for before I invest in one.

If possible, I'd also like to know if they are expensive to keep up. I'm a freshman in college, and I only have a part-time job that pays minimal wage. Is that enough to maintain a healthy hedgehog?

Hi everyone. I have a hamster (male) who´s about 2 years old. He´s always been healthy. I live in Brazil and there aren´t vets around here that treat rodents. He´s developed a skin condition where the whole underside of his body has a humungous scab on it. It´s more than a millimeter thick. Looks pretty much like an infection. It´s spreading to his back. I´ve been to a vet (non-specific), and he told me to clean the wound every day with hydrogen peroxide and put a cream on it. It doesn´t seem to be getting any better and I can´t find a vet willing to put him to sleep. What do I do? Anyone have any other suggestions? The worst of it is that he still eats and drinks tons of water, and seems almost like he knows his condition and is fighting it. This is breaking my heart. I´m not sure I´d have the guts to have him put to sleep anyways when he looks like he´s actively fighting his problem. What do I do?
