Dutch...but I'm biased since I've been a Dutch breeder for 15 years. They tend to be calmer, more even-keel and have more "personality." Hollands can be really hyper, especially when away from home, they are very spastic on the show table. Minis can be a little grouchy and hormonal, French are the same way. English are probably the calmest of the lops. These are just generalities though, there are many lops with great personalities but they tend to be a bit more high-strung than Dutch.

There really is no "friendliest breed of rabbit". Rabbits each have their own personality. Some in a single species even are as friendly as can be or as bitter as can be. They even develop different relationships with different people. My suggestion would be to test the temperment of the individual rabbit regardless of breed. This is the best way to find a match for you.

I can't exactly compare all of those, since it isn't like I've had all as pets. But I've had two mini lops, and can say they were both very nice pets. I would warn that one of our mini lops wasn't that... mini. I guess they can vary a lot in size :-)
Good luck... rabbits are great pets.

Larger rabbits tend to be calmer than the dwarf varieties which can be very skittish. I Have a dwarf mix, though, and he's very sweet, he doesn't much like being picked up, but he doesn't mind being held and he follows me around the house trying to get me to rub his head. I think really that most bunnies are pretty nice and it has more to do with individual personality than breed. If you want a bunny with a particular personality, you can get it a rabbit rescue, they will be able to find one that gets along with you best. Also, they are already tame and housebroken.

I had Rex rabbits, their fur is VERY soft! I think any rabbit can be a nice pet as long as it's handled often. I had some that were handled often, then had some as I was losing interest that I didn't handle as much and they did nip once in awhile. I would get one young and just make sure you handle it often. The Rex come in a mini also and in many different colors. Good luck!

I don't think there is much difference in those breeds. When I raised rabbits, my friendliest/docile rabbits were the Californians but they aren't mini.
