Are Fennec Foxes Endangered

I am not familiar with Fennec foxes, or where they are native too. But in the US, there is no law banning the sale of NON-NATIVE endangered species. I know personally a gentleman who owns 5 wreathed hornbills--the only ones in captivity (he IS breeding them), and meybe not even 100 left in the wild.

Local laws in various states prevent certain exotic animals from ebing kept within certain juristictions without a license and proper enclosures.
