Well Im from southern Canada and the only marsupial we get here is the virginia opossum. They can hang from tree limbs with their tails, and play dead when you approach them, thats where the expression "playing possum" comes from.

They only ones native to North America are opossums. They are ugly, nocturnal critters who often get hit by cars, leaving their entrails all over the road.
