i love tarantulas and in Europe(where i come from) i have some...and i would love to have more of them here in Connecticut...do u know anything abt tarantulas being illegal here etc?thanks u so much and sry for my english

Generally speaking, as long as they are non-native and not endangered, they are possible to keep, but the local by-laws may have their own views as well. I would suggest speaking to your local pet store owner, who would be most familiar with what types of pets are locally allowed.

I am not aware of any US states in which it is illegal to have tarantulas, but you may want to check out this message board at http://www.arachnoboards.com/ab/ There are a lot of experts there who can not only help you with the legal end of things but help you find a great place to buy some healthy, happy Ts.

I don't know if they're illegal in Connecticut or not. You may wish to contact the state animal control officer in Wethersfield and see what they have to say. I can't say I've seen them in any pet shops though.

They don't quite seem to be a pet that I'd care to have around though.
