Carrots are real food. And so is everything rabbits eat. They only eat vegetables so that's why you may consider they don't eat real food but vegetables are real food.
And for someone who said rabbits are from rodent family is wrong. Rodent is an order which doesn't include rabbits or hares. They are part of the order Lagomorpha and family Leporidae.

Well , my friend their is a "new" rabbit on the scene now. One who is sensitive to the carrot's and their feelings. This particular group have decided to eat pigs feet and pork rinds. THey will never touch another carrot, and the ecology should be just fine till you trip over your first carrot!! They have changed their minds...they are not vegetarians.

McDonald's is not real food, silly! Carrots and cabbage and grains, and apples, and grass, ie. what rabbits eat is real food

They eat pellets made from timothy hay. Anyone who feeds their rabbit only carrots is killing it.

Rabbits are vegetarian and eat many kinds of plants. They are a member of the rodent family which includes mice, rats, prairie dogs, skunks, ground hogs, squirrels, etc.

Real food to me is hamburgers, pizza, and tacos. Real food to them is hay, grass, pellets, greens, and veggies. Too many carrots (more than 2" per week) can actually make them sick.
