i know vegans are all for protection and respect of all animals, but i was wondering, can vegans have pets or does that go against what they believe? like can they have a dog that they love to play with, feed well, and make sure it has safe accomodations to move around in, like not just a small cage. cuz it seems to me its ok to have an animal as a pet for enjoyment, but still make sure it is well off. im not vegan btw, i have friends that are, and i was just curious about this

I have a baby rat, is it possible for her to squeeze out of her cage during the night tonite, because this is her first night here. The bars are about a few centimeters apart (regular size) but she is pretty small. She can fit her nose out, but could she get all the way out?

I have a 23yr old morab (morgan, arabian cross) mare. She is trained for barrel racing, western, english, and small jumps. She will turn on a dime and speeds up whenever (or not) I ask her. But she will not stop when I ask her. My trainer has suggested to get a bit other than the snaffle so I did I got a proffessionals oppinion (he set me up with the curb) The curb worked for about 2 days, now it has no more effect than the snaffle. And it is actually harder to get my cues across with it. So my question is what other things can I try? My trainer suggested doing a jiggsaw ( where you pull up on one reign at a time sharply, to confuse the horse to slow down) I have also tried saying things while pulling back on the reigns. I have also tried getting closer to her mouth with my hands and pulling back.

We were away from the house for several days and when we came back the hamster's nails were brown, the tips of his ears grey, the tip of his tail dark, and his skin is peeling on his feet. What is the problem? It costs $45 dollars to take him to the vet but he only costs 10 bucks to buy. I want to help him. Does anyone know what the problem is? (he had food and water and we cleaned the cage before we left.)
