I don't know why I feel more empathy for animals than humans. I can watch Court TV's forensic and homicide shows all day long, often staring at dead bodies, and feel absolutely nothing. However if I watch anything in which an animal is abused or harmed in any way it brings me to the brink of tears.

I often rationalize from my religious standpoint that humans may get a second chance at life depending on what they do here one Earth but animals don't, once they die they are gone forever. But I often feel that this is not a good reason to empathize more with animals than humans…I just don’t understand why…
Do you find yourself feeling this way? If so why?

Ok my horse stops on the ground but it won't stop when I ask her to in the saddle. I have tried circles, pulling , saying things like whoa halt stop and such, i have tried puling with little sharp tugs, and to wo small pulls and then one sharp tug. And none seem to get the message acoss. She is a barrel horse so that may have something to do with it. And I am getting lessons, I use a curb bit, but I think I'm going back to the snaffle (it seemed to work better). I don't use a whip or crop. So I am out of ideas. I realize I need to stay consistant but I can't until I find somethig that works.

We found a nest of baby bunnies last week and we've been watching them. We found two who had apparantly been mauled by a cat, and only one left alive. Its eyes are open. Is there any think I can do to try to keep it alive besides taking it to a vet?

I have a black and white stud. I have a lady that wants to breed her filly to him. She doesnt have the best conformation and to me shes just plain ugly. If the foal comes out with conformation faults that come from the dam. Will my stud take the fall for it?
