bought a very healthy looking bright yellow from where i usually get them from paid £40. it never even came out and now its dead. already have a different one thats healthy and so are the fishes and corals. is there any web sites with good pictures so i can look up what sort it was and y it died? temperture, lighting ph all fine.

My pretty fancy tail male guppy had a huge fanned tail. It got shredded by a paradice gourami. I have moved them to a safer tank and he seems to be doing okay.

I recently purchased a male & female Beta, and put them in a tank together. The first day everything seemed fine. They appeared to be somewhat agressive twards eachother, but it appered to be mostly chasing.

When I got home today, however, I noticed that what fins the Female had were all torn up. Now I know males tend to pick at fins of other fish, but is it normal for the male to do this to the female? I immedatly seperated them, but I was wondering if it's okay to put them together. Is this just a dominance activity or will the male continously go after the female???

I do have a tank divider, and will use it to seperate them if need be, but I just wanted to know for sure if my best bet is to keep them apart...

Is it ok to put a small male guppy in a 3 day cycled, 20 gallon aquarium? Will he be ok, or iis he not hardy enough? Also, will he be ok with the danios?

With what type of super basic equipment? Now that the season is preparing to dive into the winter season, the temperature in my house is starting to drop a lot, and I'm not sure if the betta can handle it. Where I live (California), the temperature is currently about 53°F, but it can drop down to 30° in the most extreme situations. I have already moved the betta onto the 2nd level of my home since it is warmer upstairs.

The yellow tang is not old so it shouldnt have changed color, its about 3 inchs and was yellow when i bought it. Not is it brown with some yellow spots, and my other fish are now sick also, what can i do?

I have a lion fish, puffer and a rabbit fish that look like they are starting to get coudy eye. The puffer i put in a bucket to try to treat since he seemed to have ich and then got the cloudy eye. He has gotten a little better after almost 2 weeks of being in there (eats now and is more active).

How long does a betta fish live? I have one that I have had for one year I have always had him in a fish bowl not a small tank with a pump the past week he looks like he isn't going to make it. He has been sitting at the bottom of the tank now he has his eyes closed some but still goes up to the top for air. What should I do? ShoudI go to walmart and buy a small fish pump for the bowl or buy a small tank with a pump? I just feel like I am to blame.

I have a tank with 3 goldfish and 2 angels, one angel and one goldfish died last night and know I'm noticing the other three are sick. Thay have tiny white dots on them. Do you know what this can be and how can a help them? I'm always careful that the water is clean and I feed them several time a day, I take good care of them. I just got them one month ago. HELP.
