My pretty fancy tail male guppy had a huge fanned tail. It got shredded by a paradice gourami. I have moved them to a safer tank and he seems to be doing okay.

The fins and tail are fully regenerative tissue and should grow back virtually scarless, however if the damage had gone too far (all the way to the base of the tail) then there would be nothing for the tail to regrow from and the damage would be permanent.

yes they grow back . i had that happen to 2 of my male guppies , and their tails grew back . it takes awhile but they do grow back .

Yes it will grow back ! Watch out for infection.

Mine never grew her tail back but she managed just fine.

I don't think fishes grow fins back, sorry to hear about your poor fishy.
