Our cat has always been really well behaved. She instantly adapted to her litterbox as a kitten. In the past month she has decided to start peeing in our bedroom (on stuff, like if we leave a sweatshirt on the floor or something), and peed on our beanbag.

I've caught her two times recently, and scolded her and put her outside both times (one was today- the beanbag again). She also is relentlessly scratching our new couches, and won't give it up. Our other cat learned this wasn't acceptable within a week of when we got them (we would carry her to her scratching post and tell her to scratch that instead), but our younger one is still doing it.

She has been spending more time outside than usual- could that be a part of it?

She doesn't have any signs of a UTI so although I'm remaining cautious, I think this is just a behavioral issue.

She does this when her litter box is clean- it's not that either.

What should we do???

Two miniature turtles rcd as gift just yesterday. I know of odds of them surviving is very low. They are in a plastic pond with rock for climbing in center. Currently eating turtle bites and are sitting in window receiving direct sunlight. After reading other questions and answers, I have stopped children from handling-did not know it was very stressful to turtles. I want to do everything possible so that they can have better chances of survival. Pls advise, of any addl information which would help them to live a long and happy life, thank you...

Alright, I was wondering, can I have fancy guppies with a male betta splendens (The betta most people are familiar with)? Or will there be fin nipping, harassment, ect.? And will the betta eat fry of my female guppies, or leave them alone? I'm a bit parnoid because my angelfish is a HUGE fattie that eats EVERYTHING. I have to keep 6 month old fry away because he will try and eat them (I saw him try).

Both our dogs are wearing e-collars following their spay/neuter surgeries. Our girl, who already has good ear position, does not seem to be affected.

Our boy has prick ears and we had given up on gluing some time ago (couldn't get it right ourselves and couldn't find a groomer who even knew what I was talking about). Since wearing the e-collar, one of his ears is now tipping significantly. Not just to the correct position, but a more sideways flop. The other ear seems to be "softening" a bit at the tip.

Oh, and this may not be related but our boy also had his last two deciduous teeth removed at the same time.

Is this likely to be permanent? They'll be wearing the collars for another 4 days, just to be safe.

Or at least soothe it.

Plllleeeease, dog watching and he's whining his butt of.
He's on a pillow bed, covered with blanket, pillwo for his head, and a stuffed animal that smells like his "mom".
He's a major mommy's dog.
It's my dog Skippy, who has a bad knee.
He doesn't cry when she's here though.

T^T

Okay, we have had our cat Emmaline fixed a week ago. She is very lazy and for some strange reason WILL NOT quit chewing on a certain plant. when you got your cat spayed did it become lazy ? or do you think the plant is making my precious cat sick?

I asked for a rat or guinea pig for Christmas because my hamster died and I wasn't sure which one was better for a pet.
( I might get it for my b-day in January instead of x-mas )

She is a whippet hound that we just adopted from the humane society. She never barks at anyone, normally runs away, and after she gets use to you she will be your best friend. I brought my 2yr old nephew over, and she started barking and growling at him only. Why is that?

I just asked a question on buying an undersized, disqualified colored Doberman, and was told that it was a really bad idea. However, people are on here every day looking for a "teacup" or "imperial" Shih Tzu (or other toy breed) and that is just fine! Why is that? These breeds are toy breeds anyway, why would you want them several pounds UNDER standard anyway?

Is it not just as bad having a small dog over bred for undersized results? Are breed standards ONLY important for large breeds? Please, fill me in! I don't understand this double standards.

I have a 2 gallon tank and thinking about getting a heater. I feel that I need to get her a friend only because her other female betta died..... but I'm hesitant of getting another female because my other betta has been alone since summer... I dont know how feisty she will be with another female betta tankmate. Will female guppies work?

How should I cycle this aquarium before puting any fish in it? It is a ten gallon and I plan on adding fancy guppies. Any other chemicals I should add to the water?? Thanks.

Well, it isn't really a "teacup" but it is much smaller than usual. The breeder said that he would be under 2 feet tall and only run about 40 lbs. The puppy is mostly fawn but he has a huge white patch on his chest! It looks soooooo cute!

Even though his size and colors are so rare, the breeder is willing to sell him to me for only $1400! What do you think? I couldn't find pictures of puppies like him anywhere! Should I buy him?
