contrary to a present answer, i wouldn't experiment with cow milk to feed to your cat.
if you're feeding it canned food it doesn't need water.
however, if it's eating dry food,
it'll drink eventually.
once they start dying (i'm not joking)
they'll NEED to drink and they will drink.

Cat Not Drinking Water

Cats are funny creatures. They may be drinking from the bath or a running tap, even a toilet or outside in the garden, if they have access to the outdoors when you are not watching.

When feeding natural foods, you may find that they need less water than when you feed wet commercial foods and almost zero in comparison to when they eat dry foods.

You have not really told us about the cats age, whether she is in good health or if she recently suffered some kind of trauma? I usually hear my cats drink at night. Rarely see them drink in the day time.

There are times they do not drink milk at all and then suddenly they go through a bowl a night. Shared amongst 4 cats, milk of course being part of the nutritional diet. We agree to disagree when people state that cows milk is bad for cats. My cats love cows milk. Other cats preferred the Whiskas milk and other cats didn't like milk.

Like with humans, I believe it is important to provide a selection of choices and this way you learn to find out what your cat likes. Use this as the basis for the diet and work your way around it, to supplement with fresh ingredients etc.

Not to alarm you, but that is what my cat did when he was dying of kidney failure. Dehydration can make them get like that. He would even put his head over the bowl and act like he wanted some, but couldn't drink. He also wanted to go outside....cats like to run off and hide when they are ill...it's a natural instinct.

Hopefully it's not that serious. It could just be something that is easily remedied. Put your mind at ease and GET TO A VET!

And it's a fact, adult cats are lactose intolerant. Cow's milk is not good for them. They do make lactose free milk for cats and it's sold at grocery stores with the cat food if you'd like to try that.

Good luck. Hope she feels better!

don't feed her milk. its bad for most cats (my kitten is a fluke).

try running water in the sink or bath tub (like a drizzle), she way just like running water. my kitten does. she will drink water in a bowl if its not been there for more then 10 hours. but she'll always drink from my leaky tub faucet.

also bring her to a vet, since she is probably sick too. Its better to spend the money and find out she is healthy then to not spend the money and have her get worse and possibly die.

Cats don't need to drink water if they eat tinned food - only if they have dried food (although you should always leave some water out for them).
If she's using her litter tray, and seems bright and healthy you've got nothing to worry about.
My cat prefers to steal water from dripping taps, a bedside glass of water, any where else other than the water I leave out fresh for her - maybe your cat is also finding a more exciting source of water.
Don't give her cows milk - it can upset cat's stomachs as they are lactose intolerant.

edit: If she looks sick, why are you asking questions on here? You know you should take her to the vet.

Have you tried giving ur cat water with a medicine dropper? Use the ones that are ment for animals and if that doesn't work well then take her to the Vet.

If you think she's sick, then take her to a vet. Is she eating? Be aware that if you're feeding her canned food, she'll be getting almost all of her water requirements from this so you won't see her drink. I'm not concerned when I hear a cat's not drinking if they're eating canned food - but I am concerned when I hear they're not eating either. You know your cat best - if you think she's ill, take her to a vet.

EDIT: No, we don't agree to disagree about whether cow's milk is bad for cats. Of course they love it, what's that got to do with anything? I love Vodka, doesn't mean it's good for me!

If you are feeding canned foods as you should be, there is no reason for your cat to be drinking.

Nutrition since there are so many bad things out there is very important to your cat’s health
Contrary to what you may have heard; dry foods are not a great thing to feed a cat.
Please read the label on what you are feeding? What are the ingredients? Do you know what they mean? Is the first ingrdiant a muscle meat like chicken or meal or other things?

Dry foods are the number 1 cause of diabetes in cats as well as being a huge contributing factor to kidney disease, obesity, crystals, u.t.i’s and a host of other problems. Food allergies are very common when feeding dry foods. Rashes, scabs behind the tail and on the chin are all symptoms
The problems associated with Dry food is that they are loaded with carbohydrates which many cats (carnivores) cannot process them. Also, Most of the moisture a cat needs is suppose to be in the food but in
Dry, 95% of it is zapped out of dry foods in the processing. Another thing, most use horrible ingredients and don't use a muscle meat as the primary ingredient and use vegetable based protein versus animal. Not good for an animal that has to eat meat to survive.
You want to pick a canned food w/o gravy (gravy=carbs) that uses a muscle meat as the first ingredient and doesn't have corn at least in the first 3 ingredients if at all. Fancy feast is a middle grade food with 9lives, friskies whiskas lower grade canned and wellness and merrick upper grade human quality foods. Also, dry food is not proven to be better for teeth. Does a hard pretzel clean your teeth or do pieces of it get stuck? http://www.felinefuture.com/nutrition/bpo_ch4a.php
