My cat went into the hospital for dehydration last night. Are there products out there that can help with this? Preventative. Thanks Like electrolights in dry food or something else along those lines.

I have a 6.5 year old female netherland dwarf rabbit, Jellybean, and she is not spayed. When i was holding her I saw her pee blood. I called the vet and they told me she should be fine since it only happened once, but i am still worried.

I tried to pull the worm off my star fish but it was inside as well. My star fish is doing fine I think, however one day a growth was on it back so I remove it, it was like hanging and hard so I removed it. Now there a half inch growth yellowish, red around some side. The growth is lodge in between the peck around the center of the back of the star fish. The same place where the worm went inside. As I look to the side it look like eggs and than when I look down on it it could be pus. What should I do? I do not have another tank to put the star fish in and I'm worried about the other fishes in the tank. Two clowns, and one shrimp. The star fish color is fine, she not slimmie, she move around the tank, she eats, This growth was not on her two days ago, now it big and look like it what to pop. I've being going throught this with her for about two and a half week now. Since the worm went inside her, I though I killed the worm when I pulled it off. Does anyone know what I should do.

She is so big she looks like she is ready to pop. I know it has been a while since she has been in heat. But I want her to trust me so I can help her with the kittens so I need some what of a sign that she is ready to have them. I was just wondering if anyone knew or how I can find out. I will let you know what else I see her do. She lays in my bath tub all the time like shes hot. She won't let anyone touch her belly but me. Shes even mean to my other cat she doesn't want him by her and they have been around eachother for a long long time so I don't really understand that unless she is afraid he will hurt her and the kittens. Well if anyone knows please let me know.

Hey I just bought two Red Eared Slider turtles yesterday in New York City and I have a couple of questions:

How long should I expect them to live if I bought them from that pet trade people near Chinatown (I didn't know how currupt and horrbile that pet trading of the turtles was at the time, and now I'm vowing to give them a better life since they will most likely die if I let them free).

What will the cost be to get everything I need?

What should I expect from these turtles?

Any tips or concerns about these turtles I should be aware of?

Thanks!

I have a 3 year old female Greyhound. I recently noticed that her gums and gum line are red. I bought special Dog toothpaste and dog toothbrush, and she won't open her mouth for me when I try to brush them, most likely because when I do it hurts her gums because they bleed. Any suggestions as to how I can get my dogs teeth clean, without paying for a trip to the vet? The vet would probably just use drugs to put my dog to sleep for a short time, which are bad for Greyhounds. Also, how often should her teeth be cleaned?
Thanks.

My cockatiel layed 2 eggs, I know how to check if their fertile or not but whenever i even put my hand in the cage she gets overprotective and tries to bite me. Even when she's not on the eggs she goes crazy. what should I do?
also i don't know if this is right, but are you supposed to pick up the eggs and shine a flashlight through them and if you see veins or blood vessels their fertile. but i dont know about that because alot of people say even with household pet birds they will reject the egg if it has a human scent on it.and my parents say i should use gloves, is this information right if not can you tell me all or some of the waays to check if the eggs are fertile. what should i do?
sorry about all the spelling and quotation messups.

My grandma went away for 2 weeks and i am watching her toy poodle randy. She shaved randy for the summer time, and i noticed he is very skinny. he is about 8 or 9 years old, but i have heard that small dogs can live more than 15 years. sometimes randy doesn't eat or drink, but his nose is wet and he seems ok. he only gets active when i take him to go to the bathroom. he gets extremely depressed when you leave him alone so that is why i had to take care of him in the first place. he loves being pet, in fact, if you stop petting him he throws a little fit and shoves his nose under your hand and paws your arm. but he hardly ever eats, and i have gotten him some special poodle food and he really likes it. but he doesn't eat a lot at all. i can feel every bone in his body. he was like this when he came over to my house. are small dogs supposed to look like this?

I've been considering all kinds of rodents, and I still can't decide which kind I should have as a pet. I already have guinea pigs, so that doesn't count. I've been thinking about either rats, mice, or a hamster... which should I get?

I have two cats - ages 3 and 7 - and will soon be getting a new kitten. I have 2 litter boxes and both cats use both of them. Should I get a 3rd litter box for the 3rd cat? Does anyone have any experience with litter habits when a new cat is introduced? I would appreciate any advice, thanks!

Hi. My friends cockatiel is molting and her attitude is horrible! She does not like to be around us like normally, and just stays in one spot throughout the day before they put her back in the cage (she flies around when they are home). Will this stage pass? Also, she is very cranky with my friend who found and saved her from outside. She loved him at first, but now hates him and wont even let him get close to her!!! Why is this?? Could it be he was not home that much due to work so she bonded with his parents?! LOL soo many questions but I though these birds were very friendly and shes cranky!! Help!

If he gets woken up he will bite anyone near him. If he gets scared or intimidated he growls and bites. If some one comes to the door he goes nuts and if I pick him up to take him to another room so I can answer the door, he just might bite then too. Other than that he is the sweetest little dog. I don't want to have to put him down so I am looking for alternatives. He has biten everyone of us including my female chihuahua, no fault of her own.

When he goes on the attack we have to grab him and hold him down til he chills. He is like Jeckle and Hyde. No kidding. He is full blooded and is 2 1/2 years old.

My female is the oposite, she is a lover all the time. She hates violence of any kind.

I hope some one has a solution that works. Thanks for your answers in advance.

I just adopted a 3-4 months cat he is fixed and has been checked for Feline leukemia ( negative ) and is current on his shots.
Since the day he arrived ( Saturday morning ) he has been sleeping, he barely eats or plays, he only goes to the litter box once in the morning and then he sleeps ALL day!
The day before yesterday he woke up limping from one leg ( I tought for too much sleep ) he is not limping anymore but still sleeping, is he sick?
the bad thing about this, is that I am fostering a little 1 month old cat, now she sleep all day too and today is limping, just like the adopted cat? what is wrong in this picture? little kitten is not playing like before what should I do?
thank you!

My little 4 lb. 7 year old Maltese is recently making a clicking/poping sound when she walks. It is similar to the sound made when cracking nuckles. However, she is walking, running. playing, and seems to be in no pain. I can touch her feet without her flinching at all. I called the vet and it will cost a fortune for x-rays and she JUST went to the vet last week for her yearly ($150+). Does anyone have any idea what it is? Any vets out there? Any suggestions?

I've been breeding small dogs with my mother since you could say 6mths of age, but now we both are alittle curious to see what is in the making of a healthy designer. We bred once and got gourgoues pups here's a photo

These are the only two but aren't they precious?
The doctor said they are in healthy if not the healthiest condition for a young newborn, which means we choose the best *hehe*. So do you think we should continue?

I live in Arizona, and I was wondering what type of dog is good that is protective, semi-easy to train, can be alone for a part of the day, and will tolerate heat (i.e. 110 degree summer days).

If there is a dog breed that can take this, or is close, please let me know.

Thanks.

i got 2 new angelfish about 4 days since in tank and their about 2 inches. anyways, i have two serpaes in the tank and ive been told that they will be fin nippers but they havent even gone nera the angels. The black one i have has perfect fins, no sign of nipping. Ive never kept an angel fish before.

problem:
the white one swims aroung like a normal fish would but slower. this is said to be normal however, the black one sits in one spot behind a rock. He hasent moved from that spot for 2 days now. He looks perfectly healthy and eats if food gets behind the rock. He doesent come to the surface when i feed them.

questions :

is this normal?
Is it sick?
what should i do if anything is do-able?

help appreciated.

p.s : the fin nippers honestly havent payed any attention to the angels.
