Sorry to say you can't test it without a test kit. As pointed out, you can get it tested at a pet store or you can buy a test kit, they really are quite inexpensive.

Bring a sample of your water to a pet store. They will test it for you at a very low price, or even for free.

To Dream Lover: You need to get your goldfish out of those 1 gallon bowls, PRONTO. Goldfish need a minimum of 10 gallons, in a filtered aquarium.

You really can't do this. Take a small sample of water to your local pet store and they will do it for free.

if you have a standard or custom made rectangular tank
and u can see the silicon in the corner it usually is the colour of the p.h
i can do i t on my tank so it saves doing it

i dont have my goldfish in a tank,i have two 1 gallon bowls that they are in,if someone could tell me how to test my ph level i would appreciate it.thanks

you can take about a cup of water to your local fish shop and they will often test it for you.
