First, sexing Silver Dollars isn't possible except to say that the female will get a bit larger (heavier) than the male when in breeding condition. If you have only 2 of them, odds are not good for you to have a pair. The best bet is to buy 6 and let them grow up together, but of course that takes a fairly large tank.

I wouldn't try to breed them in the tank with something like corys. The eggs just fall to the bottom and the corys would gobble them up as quickly as they could.

The Silver Dollar will be able to breed, but since they are eggs scatterers and do not tend to their eggs, the eggs will soon be eaten by the corys and by the parents if not removed immediately after spawning.

Without experience it is almost impossible to tell the sexes apart.

no i would try like 10 silver dollars fish and they should be in a very big tank, no cory cat they'll eat them really quick because the eggs is really healthful for the cory cat fish
