I bort a Schnauzer a month ago, great dog. He came registered with United All breed. Does this mean anything? It looks like its is meant to help you find your dog in case he gets lost. Because they register his chip. But it is not AKC. Can anyone with a MUTT register?

So why things are like this I don't know. But here is what happened. I got a dog from the pound (a puppy actually). Before animal control will release the animal to you, they will fix it. So then after you adopt them you go pick them up from the vet after they have their surgery. Sounds simple enough.

Except when your young puppy refuses to pay any attention the fact she just had surgery yesterday & keeps trying to run around like a mad animal & jumping all over the place. Not to mention constantly trying to wrestle with my other dog. Phew! I've been keeping her in the kennel most of the time just to get her to relax a bit but even in there she's throwing herself against the walls. Should I take her to the vet & see if the will get some kind of animal relaxer pill. She seems very thrilled with her new environment but, I don't want her to hurt herself! Any ideas on how to get her to calm down?

hey do u have any tips for trying to lunge a stubbon mare? We worked with her all summer to the point she would at least be fine in one direction, but the other direction she will just stand facing you and refuse to move, now she does this with both sides since we stopped being able to work with her so much when she was at local barn after school started. But now she is at our house and we have more time to work with her. Any suggestions?

Some fish are more aggressive and eat more, some are just too timid to get enough to eat, what shall I do?

I found a kitten and am trying to save it. I do not have the money for a vet bill. The kitten has no appetite and is sneezing and wheezing. Snores when sleeping.

He is 9 months, we've only had him for a month so still relatively new to the family :) My husband works a normal office job and I am gone 3 times a week for 9-5 type hours for graduate school, and when I get home on the days I'm out, our poor pup has really worked himself up into a frenzy. What will keep him occupied, or how can I reduce his anxiety when he's alone? (Yes he has access to a place to sleep, food, a place to go to the bathroom while we aren't home. It's just that he doesn't like being alone!)

Or prevent the litter that is thrown everywhere?

NOTE: I have an automatic litterbox so he's not rolling in a dirty box.

I have a 10 month old lab/hound mix... not sure what type of hound, we rescued her from a shelter 6 months ago. Ever since we've gotten her, she's been in the crate at night and during the day when we're at work. We've just moved into a brand new home and for almost a month now, our puppy's been staying in our laundry room upstairs, without her crate, barracaded with a baby gate. Until recently we haven't had any issues. But twice in the past week, we've come home and found holes in the walls of the laundry room... with drywall all over her mouth and in her claws! We leave treats in her kong, at least three other chew toys, and we leave the radio on. We do excercise her when it's not raining outside, and even if it is, we still play fetch indoors. What are we supposed to do?

My rat Ginger has a mammary toumor she just turned 3 years on Sunday. She has been acting very strange not moving much and breathing deep, she is also very, very skinney. Ginger has a bunch of red like bleeding from her nose and eyes, and her back foot is strange it won't really walk with her. I do know she is sick ad may be close to dying, but how can I tell when she may, or how to make her feel better? Should I feed her myself??
Please answer...

I have a 4 month old chihuahua, how in the heck do I house train it successfully? She is actually doing better. When she DOES go inside and I show it to her, she whines and cries and tries to get away from me, so she knows she did bad. How do I get her to go out all the time?

I ran across a saltwater fish once a couple of years ago. I was white with perfect black polka dots, and i don't know how else to explain it, except that it reminded me of a flowy silk blouse. I really want to purchase one, and cannot seem to find it online. please help....this is my dream fish!

we have had this dog since she was 6 wks old (now 10 months) she is a nice dog ( a little hyper) but she is alot of fun. Problem is we cannot pick her up to hold her...she gets very upset and when we put her down she protests and barks at us!!!! EVERY time!! WE have had her checked at the vet and he said she is fine physically but she is a stubborn terrier. Should we just "hold" her until she submits or just leave her be and accept the fact that we have a dog that will always sit by us on the couch but "to hold her" -- forget it!!?? Thanks for any advice you have!
