Show her what a responsible child you are by taking care of all the animals you currently have and doing a good bit of the housework as well. Anticipate her needs (mom's) and surprise her by following through. Get very good grades and always bring home school papers in a timely manner. Never shout or whine or beg for things.
After several years of this behaviour, your mom will be so convinced that you are a caring animal lover, a good contributor to the household, and she will then buy you a ferret.
Otherwise- I don't see it happening.

Ferrets only smell bad if you don't keep their litterboxes, bedding and cage clean. Also, bathing too often encourages overproduction of odorous oils because of dry skin. Keep their living area clean and they don't smell as bad as some dogs. As for the dog, it depends on the breed. Breeds, such as terriers and those bred for hunting will kill the ferret. It might help if you did the research and then showed it to your mom; keeping in mind that owning a ferret can be an expensive venture. They require a lot of care and attention and lots of space. Check out a couple forums - we love to share stories and answer questions; and go to your library and check out a copy of Ferrets for Dummies. If you really want to convince your mom, it's best to be informed.

no way. i used to have a ferret with 3 dogs. let the dog get used to it and it will be fine. But keep an eye on it . because the dog might get curious. tell ur mom to buy it. there realy sweet and i love ferrets.

I can't speak for your dog, but ferrets stink awful if you don't catch every crap as it's coming out of his butt.
Don't convince your mom to get you a ferret. Finish school, grow up, move out, and then get a ferret. Don't put any more on your mom than she's already got.

Its not going to happen, they do reak but they are sweet. Maybe if you promise to keep the cage clean.

why would you want such a dirty, stinking, filthy animal, did i mention destructive too? i know my aunt had one and it was disgusting. they are like a cross between a rat and a cat.
