Paprika darkens palomino coats. If fed at a rate of approximately 1 tablespoon a day you will notice a difference within the first month.

Personally I have not heard of eggs but there are a lot of things that i am told work, for example a product called livamol it is also a vitamin, Then there is the herb called rosehip which also has other benifits for your horse, then they say sunflower seeds help to produce more oil and therefor darken the hair keeping it glossy these are all added to your feed once a day, But if you just put a cotton summer rug on your horse during the warmer months it will stop the horse from bleaching, there hair is just like ours when it has been in the sun to long and it will fade.

There is a product made by a company called Cheval that is called Gold as Sun it is made for paliminos to darker their coats.
It works wonderfully You need to feed it throught out the summer months to keep the horse from bleaching out.
I have used it on one of mine that is black and it kept her black all summer. Most years she bleaches out to a redish bay color.
The black stuff is called Black as Knight and it works.
Not cheap but it does work really well.

The only thing eggs do is give your horse a really sleek coat.

No, you can use several products such as Gold as Sun to make its coat shinier and more golden, but I don't know of any to make the coat darker.
