To train a stubborn dog, is it better to use a shock collar or a citronella collar (that sprays out and unusualy smell that the dog dislikes), what are the benefits of each and which one is more effective?

My fiance and I have two kittens. They're about 4 1/2 months old. We just gave them Advantage at the beginning of this month so I hesitate to give them anymore Advantage until the beginning of next month.

I'm not sure about flea collars. I'm afraid they might be too big for them and have them get caught on something while they're playing.

What do you guys suggest?

So I am angry and disgusted. Yuck it stinks and all that crap. Is it cuz he is not neutered, or what. He always has access to the kitty box. I threw him outside now. That may seem mean but he likes it out there and goes out all the time anyhow. Any help would rock!!!

I think the betas are so pretty, but why do people keep them in a tiny little cup? I think that is mean, or is it?

I asked for your advice about my dog and her fifth pregnancy. What I didn't mention was the vet gave her a clean bill of health. All of the puppies she's had are healthy and now have good homes. I will not play god with my dog and have her spayed. I WILL put her on birth control until she's about 5 years old then I'll look for a suitor. I don't think its "humane" to cut out a dogs reproductive orgins. If we truly love our dogs and would give them the same, if not better, love and care as a human being. Then why is it that we wouldn't subject ourselves to such butchery. With so many orphans in this world, should we mandate women be sterilized? Look, I' m just angry that I was attacked for asking advice. My dog is safe and healthy. And if she's a whore, O WELL. I still love her.

PS- I also failed to mention that I actually found my dog tied to a bench,in the rain, with gum stuck all over her. I took her in, got her healthy and gave her a home. That's responsibility.

i have a barrel horse who's sort of been in an early retirement for the last year and a half or so. He's only 14, and I want to get him back in shape for the spring. What's the best way to go about doing this to have the best results?

I bought a larger fish bowl and the glass stones and he looks great in there. He's been blowing bubbles at the top of the bowl. We will be out of town 7 days, will he be ok? The guy at the Petco sugested these tablets especially for Bettas called 7 day feeders, are they ok to use?

We ran out of cat food, and I'm unwilling to go to the store. It's likely been days since he ate, what can I feed him out of my fridge and cupboards? He can have anything BUT the hot dogs, those are mine... and Scott's.

No lectures on dog breeding please. All the pros and cons have been closely examined. Her puppies are pretty much spoken for by aquaintances and I realize that there are many unwanted dogs at the shelter. Anyways, I was told that 2 is a good age. Would 1 year be too young, what are the risks associated with a young pregnancy? Thanks.

I have had a dog before, we got as an adult when i was younger and she was a Alsatian. I am looking either to rehome a dog or get a young puppy. Could anybody please give me any advice on what puppies are the easiest to rear without very much experience. Obviously a rehoming centre would know more about the dogs they have which would be more suitable so any info on puppies would be helpful. Thank you.
