the female setter is a puppy and really afraid of staying in the car.since 2month she goes with my friend by car for a couple of hours,but she is still afraid,spitting the whole time,shaking....even with other dogs together she is afraid.he tried to put her in a cage while driving,but it was worse.who could consider my friend anything that could make his dog to feel more comfortable in the car?

we had an 8 month old puppy then got anothewr pup to mate her with, but the dog came down with parvo and dies within one week. does the virus live within the dog once the dog dies? because we wont bury him in the yard if it does.

I have a lovely 10 year old moggie. I live in a ground floor apartment so she just jumps over the balcony and explores the gardens all day and at night she will sit on my balcony and meow so loud! I feed her well and she is allowed inside whenever she wants.
There is a man that lives upstairs who hates my cat and screams "shutup!" when she meows.

What can I do to stop her meowing because it really is annoying!

I am a beachy person, basically i take my other dog a maltese to the beach every 2nd sunday. Now i have a pug puppy and here that they are not to go in hot weather for more the 15 minutes, so does that mean i can't take her to the beach? and if i can what will i need to bring to prevent her from getting heat stroke... I know bottle of chilled water, a bowl.... what else?

does anyone else think it is crazy that people are selling these mutts that just a few years ago you couldn't give away and now they are selling for more than pure breds that are registered? I think the people buying them should go to their local animal shelter they can find these same dogs there.

My male cat has recently started urinating in the house. He has been neuterd. I clean out his litter box and put fresh litter in it at least twice a day so I know that is not the problem. He is an inside outside cat. He wants to go out at night and come in during the day. Sometimes though he will be in all day and night. I guess it depends on his mood. I have raised him since he was just a few hours old when one of my dogs found him in the woods and brought him home to me.

My friend and I just got a miniature pinscher puppy and she is barking so much when we leave, that the neighbors have been complaining. The puppy tends to bark when we leaveswhich I know is completely normal. What would be the best way to train a puppy to not bark so much without having to to take her to a trainer? We just dont want to have to debark the puppy or have to put her down if they neighbors take this any further. Please help!

My 9 year old small dog just had a teeth-cleaning last week. They extracted 5 of his teeth at the same time which cost me $250. His bad breath is gone now too and hopefully he wont be so cranky anymore. How can I keep his remaining teeth clean? I dont feed him human food or snacks. My other dog same age has clean teeth. How can I brush his teeth? He wont like that at all!

My old babysitter is giving me a 2 month old female chiuaha/lhasa apso mix... She said she wanted me to have because she loves the way I interact with her older dog ellie and she knows I can give this little gurl a lot of love. she is only two weeks old and weve already bonded(Ill be getting her when she two months.) My babysitter said in order to house train her She needs to be on a strict schedule til she is about 6 months old.
How do I do that
a little info I go to school from 7:00-2:30
so what she said was use the puppy pads and buy a puppy gate... can someone plz help me set up a schedule for her....????

Also is it ok for her to sleep with me because today she fell asleep right on my breast(It was the cutest thing ever)and when they took her she began to cry... I personally dont mind... but what r ur opinions



can I have a list of supplies I will need to take care of her

also is there any advice u guys can give me as a first time do owner???

My cat won't leave me alone.It doesn't bother me, I think it is sooo cute. He's part himalayan half persian.He's white and pale gray, he almost looks blue. He looks like an alien.These cats are known for being TOO independent. And he is, except lately when I'm trying to study, he gets up on my desk and lays down right on top of my books and papers as close to my face as he can get.If I try to move him gingerly off them, he grabs my hand with his paws and bites it.Then he takes my whole arm and grabs it by his front and back feet, holds it frimly with his paws, and kicks and bites me!Sometimes he slaps me. Not hard, just kind of cuffs me and stares me down with his big blue eyes.If I do happen to get him off my papers, he gets right back up on them and he defies that I get him off again. He won't let me study. If I pet him and talk softly to him, he purrs. I'm not trying to stop him, because I think it's adorable.But I would just like other people's opinions on why he does it? Thanks

Im 18. Im currently compleating yr 12 and want to train to be a vet assistant or vet nurse. I cannot go to university straight after my HSC however i have applied to do an animal studies course at tafe and on the compleation of that i wish to apply for the veterinary nursing course. I have also applied for any trainee ship or work experience opportunitys in 13 local vets of where i wish to travel to for work. I have some experience in handeling and caring for animals as i have done work experience at a local animal park and i care for native injured or orphaned animals on occasions when my friend who is a wildlife rehabilitator has to be away from them. If there is anything else i should do that any one thinks will be helpful please feel free to let me know. Any help will be greatly appreciated, Thanks!!
