They are both great breeds - very smart but...pit bulls are so much fun. They are natural clowns, like to make up games, are very affectionate, love to sleep with you at night and are fantastic family pets (they used to be called nanny dogs or nursemaid dogs.) Oh, they also are not big barkers which is a good thing and are not as high strung as poodles (although they need a TON of exercise - they are strong pups.)

I would say a Pitt bull. I have one, and she is very sweet. My neighbor growing up had a Poodle, ans she was the meanest little thing that I have ever seen. I know more people getting bit by Poodles than by Pits.

Poodles. Not that I don't like pits, it's just that pits unfortunately have a knack for getting into the hands of irresponsable owners, so it is much harder to find one with a stable temperament. On the other hand, poodles get bred by any one with an itch to create a new poo breed, and are quite riddled with hereditary illnesses, so it's harder to find a healthy one...
Overall, both breeds are nice but you have to be very very picky when choosing a breeder for either.

Pitbulls, I have NEVER had a problem with a pit bull. they are A LOT more level headed. Very affectionate. on the other hand, I have worked with alot of CRAZY poodles.

Poodles, POODLES, POOODLES ~~~ They are smart, they don't shed, they have less negative attention from the community, and you can usually find good quality breeders or rescue dogs available.
However with pits you don't know what the previous owner did to them and they can be more aggressive if owned previously used them for fighting. They have a bad rap, undeservidly put there by owners who are not responsible.

Pit Bulls meat is kind of tuff you have to cook them a little longer than Poodles .. But food is food .. Just Joking I would say pit bull..

Pit bulls. I have never met a mean pit bull, but I have had 2 poodles try to bite me.

pit bulls, they are great dogs get a lot of bad rap, poodles are very moody and they require a lot of grooming.

I prefer Pitbulls befor Poodles ...but i own a Bulldog :)
