Feeding isn't hard..but cleaning up after them IS..
Riding stables in the Central Valley charge $20 per week ( about 1 1/2 hours) for lessons.

I live in Sacramento and prices for lessons varies from $25-$50 an hour depending on if you want a group or private lesson. Also its not hard to feed that many horses, I find it fun. I board my horses and I get a discount for feeding my own horses and cleaning their stalls. I look forward to doing it every day because I enjoy being around my horses. If you have to foot the bill for feeding that many horses it is expensive!

Feeding them isn't the problem. Buying the feed, hay is the hard part. I'm feeding 5 and it costs me $165/month in grain. Mind you, things are more expensive in California then Illinois. Then there's the vaccinations, worming and farrier. My brother in law keeps 50 horses on 5 acres, no grass, hay and grain in California. It takes him the whole day to feed everyone. I've never been interested finding out how much feed costs him every month, lol.

It's no harder to feed horses than it is a parakeet ; unless you have to shell corn yourself . You can get blisters on your hands .
