Tetra's, Platy's, Mollie's, Swordtail, even a single male Siamese fighter would go with guppies... I've even kept tiger and silver sharks with them... all kewl...

Platys, swordtails, mollies, tetras, danios, rasboras, I'd say just about any community fish will get along with them ok.

Edit: Neons are fine with them. No go on the betta that was recommended, it'll attack the guppies.

People are suggesting mollies but mollies are actually aggressive when put with guppies! Tetras are totally fine with pretty much any kind of fish. Also you could have ONE male beta fish in your tank with guppies and it won't hurt them. I have had a beta in with my guppies for over a year and all is fine.
One of my guppies just had babies :)

Mollies are a good choice. So are loaches such as the clown loaches. Also, you might want to try feeder crabs and feeder shrimp. They are cheap, lots of fun to watch and they eat the particles of food that sink to the bottom of the tank (so do loaches). Any reputable petstore where you buy community fish will help you with choices as well.
