i have a 7 week old rottweiler that cant get enough food. she eats like crazy. is there any info out there on how and when i should feed her?

I'm asking because I have been fostering 2 and I don't think their old mommy is coming back. The get along well with my cats now, and I live in a rural area on a large property in a big house. We also have 2 dogs Who like all the kitties.

My kitten age 5 months has mild herpes in the corner of his eyes. He is not in any dis comfort. I was told Lysine is good to give for this desease.

I gave him 250 mg for one day and the next day the same. That night he had very bad loose stools.

I quit giving it to him and thought I would ask the group about this.

I'm not sure if that was the problem or the new Purina Kitten food I bought at the same time.

Today he is fine and is eating the Purina food with no problem.

I still have a hunch it was the Lysine. Help.

My boyfriend wants one and thinks they are gorgeous, I personally dont think they are that cute. Just wanted a general opinion, I dont need to grow up thank you. Why do some people have to take it to the next level and be so damn rude about it?!

I've always had cats, three at a time on occasion and even 4 once.Black cats always have a ton of personality and are smarter. Anyone who has one will agree I am sure.why is that I wonder?

Ok so I do think it's weird. I'm just curious what this might mean. I go running, a white butterfly flys next to me, everytime!! I walk, it shows up, I even had to charge my car battery once and upon opening the hood, a white butterfly flew out!!! Is this just coincidence? Do white butterfly's mean something? Okay, I just moved from CA to TX and made lots of good friends and one really good best friend. The only problem is I want a horse. I asked my parents and they said that we would have to move again to a really pretty place they know where my dad's friend live to have enough room, where at my old house we were so close to getting one with 2 acres. This is where you come in. Do I leave all my friends again in a few years and get a horse or stay here and always feel a want?

I think my dachshund has an ear infection, but I'm not able to take her to the vet for a couple of weeks to be sure. She shakes her head and body regularly like as if she just got out of a pool, but it's at random times. My dad tried putting penicillin in her ears to help her a bit. With one ear, she was calm, but when he got to other ear, she went berserk. Does this sound like an ear infection? What can I do to help her until I can take her to the vet.

We have a wondeful rescue mutt. She is (we think) and Aussie Shepherd / Keeshond mix. She was apx. 5 when we got her and have had her for two years. She is housebroken and crate trained.

The only downside to thus dog is her seemingly incessant whining - it drives my wife nuts! The dog spends about half the day outside, but will sit by the window and snivel. Whenever we come home, she snivels by the back door. Once she is let in, we get a show of whining, yelping, trilling and other assorted vocalizations. She does this same thing when in the presence of another dog (e.g. at the pet store or vet).

We've tried a number of things to reduce the whining, from ignoring her to sudden sounds (slapping the door from an unseen location) to a training collar. The latter worked best, she is now quiet whenever the collar is on - it's progress, but not exactly what we were after.

Does anyone here have any insight or suggestions? Is this because she is a rescue?
