I would not reccommend painting your gerbil's nails. Nail polish contains chemicals, and though it is seemingly harmless (to people), gerbils are very small, and they will ave a much lower tolerance for chemicals. The toxicity level will be lower for gerbils than it is for us, and they are more likely to chew it off than we are.

no it is not okay ... your gerbil might get mad .. they aft en do so . polish has something in it that if your gerbil was to lick it it would get sick and might die..
